Sugar didn't seem to have hie heart in the firing this week
I got the impression that he wasn't really all that keen to fire anyone - or if he was, the person in question wasn't available for him.
It was one of the least aggressive/emphatic firings I've seen. He even forgot the all important 'you're fired' at first. |

He also stressed that it was 'with regret' and that it was mainly due to the calibre of the other contestants. Was she wrong not to opt with Jamie? I don't think it would have changed anything, unless Jamie was to seriously antagonise Lord Sugar; though he was overly negative at times he performed the rather trivial task he was given.
It's just a shame the other team didn't win and thus both Stuart and Laura remain; the two other 'weak links' in my view. |

I think the with regret comment was because he knew that Sandeesh was a nice girl but just not right for the job

I think Lord Sugar had it at the back of his mind that Sandeesh wasn't what he was looking for, but she did nothing horribly wrong, and as opposed to previous weeks, she was actually proactive. She didn't deserve to go this week, hence the 'with regret'. However, Lord Sugar didn't really have a choice. Liz and Chris are stronger candidates and didn't do much wrong either. Out of the three, Sandeesh was the weakest and arguable the responsibility did fall on her shoulders.
I don't think if Jamie has been brough back in, he would have gone in her place either. He's another strong candidate, and apart from moaning, he did the role that he was given. I think Lord Sugar wanted Stuart gone, but since his team won (no thanks to him) he was left with slim pickings. |

he did say she worked hard and the best of her ability. Its not that he could fault her although starting late and teaching the 'wrong' person the backroom job is enough a reason to 'fire' her.

Sandeesh was never a contender I'm afraid and LA pretty much said as much. Worse than having bad ideas she never had any and lacks any spark whatsoever...

Is Sandeesh a Muslim?
Apparently it is really offensive to point your left finger at someone in Islam, hence the lack of the finger pointing shot? |

Was she really the 9th best proto-businessperson (of those that applied) in the UK or are the production company so mind numbingly useless that routinely pick people who 'aren't contenders'? |

He even forgot the all important 'you're fired' at first. that might get you a job as a "recruitment consultant" which sounds grand but is in actual fact one of the most overrated jobs in the modern world imo - recruitment consultants/managers are ten a penny and a drain on the country as there isn't even a need for them - always taking comissions for getting people jobs driving or fruit packing or in call centres |

Which begs the question: Why was she picked from the many thousands of applicants they get for each series.

The production company, I'd venture to suggest, aren't interested in picking a good business person but in making watchable TV. Would anyone talking to Stuart for more than three minutes think he will ever amount to more than a jumped-up salesman? Is watching his antics comedy gold? If you consider Sandeesh's appearance rather than her business acumen it becomes more readily understandable how she stood out from 'many thousands' of applicants.
I am assuming the cryptic nature of your last line and roll eyes means you think the BBC have indulged in some pc shenanigans? |

She was chosen because: a) She was eye candy b) She was asian so ethnic box ticked c) She was competant in normal tasks and spoke well. No reason to watch the apprentice anymore.. *Sighhhh* |

Is she that special looks-wise?
I think LS was a bit non-plussed because he might have felt that the wrong team won - allowing for the edit as always, StuBag's team seemed to do everything wrong, yet came out ahead of the team that did most things right, but were let down by 3 errors (late start, too many DVDs, random price change) that all compounded on each other to end up in a loss. Now that's the game of course, and more than once LS has said "a loss is a loss", but I think he was ready to let loose on the other team (e.g. "you'd have won if you'd taken payment in advance"), and was just a bit deflated when it turned out they'd actually won... |

If Sandeesh didn't mess up on starting late, then it could have been Chris that went I reckon.

My point is, year after year we all ask - are these the best dozen young business prospects in the UK as if we really believe that is the criteria for getting on the show.
The best young business minds would have more sense than to demean themselves like this.
