Is Liz the Most Overrated Contestant in Apprentice History?
I don't know if is because men are hypnotised by her "charms" but I really don't get what she has done to be promoted to the role of "strong candidate".
I am a man I would like to add and yes I would probably ask her out on a date but would I employ her over any of the other candidates? No..........ok other than Baggs who needs to be pushed in front of Lord Sugar’s imaginary bus..... She got praise for her costings in one episode which was really from when she was working with Stella. She claimed to have put herself forward as PM when Sugar actually put her in the role. She did one good thing in the last episode, which was stealing the opposition’s idea. All in all she has been pretty ordinary. I think her promotion to mythical business woman is based on a deluded theory that pretty people in business must be better than ordinary looking people in business. |

What sets her apart from other candidates is her lack of bad qualities.
![]() Why is Laura still there? Or Stuart? Or Jamie? Or Noorul II? |

Laura is, by far, the most spineless contender.
Agree with you about Liz. |

As they kept pointing out, the only good thing about their day was the introduction of the car, which Liz took credit for. But she ripped it off the other team, she went and snooped then copied them totally. It really annoyed me! I was surprised Lord Sugar didn't mention it.

I dont get it either. There must be some off-screen goings-on where shes wooed Sugar and his cronies.
Maybe compared to some of this years people she seems strong, but I think its because we havent seen her have a real blow-up with the others or have a massive screw-up. She doesnt seem to whinge as much as others either. Obv keeping one's cool is a good quality but ... she hasnt done anything particularly stellar or noteworthy (and before anyone mentions racking up the highest amount of sales, well, that colour-changing baby thing pretty much sold itself...) |

Liz is a lot like Kate from last year. Except she would never sell out to Channel Five. ITV, maybe.

I was less than impressed with her, yes getting the car was a good idea but too late & she just nicked the other team's idea. And spent extra cash on it which contributed to losing them the task. (Shame they couldn't have used the penguin suit in the shopping centre, that would have attracted people!)
She also completely miscalculated how many blank dvds were needed; we all heard her carefully work out how many could be done in an hour - she was told 3, at that point told the rest of the team 3 or 4 an hour, and then went on to order double that amount. Again wasting expenditure that cost them. She is pleasant and stays calm with everyone, but I'm not sure her judgement is as good as it ought to be. |

As with Kate last year, I think her heavily made up face detracts from me taking her seriously as a businesswoman. It's sort of like a desperate attempt to prove your worth and your place by standing out. I find her annoying because of that as I did with Kate. No it's not jealously before that inane comment comes out, it's a sort of fakeness about her that puts me off her. If you take that out of the equation, I find her just average in her performance. She's the type who will get by on looks and if she does good luck to her.

I think she's heading the same way as Kate, who was far too chilled out and easy-going and allowed someone with a bit more bite and raw passion to take the job away from her.

Yeah, I can see the similarities with Kate, she's this year's Kate. I like Liz more than Kate, at least Liz doesn't have that fake horsey smile all the time.

Shes oaky, however she has shown shes a weak project manger, and I cant see her taken risks like I can with Joanne and Chris.
I dont mind her now, but she is over rated. Stella is as well, however she was great last night

Yeah she really is. She's a personable girl (which makes her good at pitching and fairly good at selling) but she doesn't have that much else about her. Everyone compares her to Kate but Kate was so much better (and she wasn't even my favourite, Yasmina was) Kate was a great team leader whereas Liz was pretty poor tbh. Personally I rate Stella for her organisational skills and Joanna for her sales ability and ideas more.

She also lacks aggressiveness which is needed sometimes. She seems quite sensitive too; nice girl but not someone that'll fit in the cold-hearted world of business.

One of the funniest and most insincere statements ever written on DS for me. Thanks for the chuckle. It's like you cannot bring yourself to appear to be a "hater" or to be in any way shape or form angered or jealous so finish off your scathing attack on her with that line. She is without doubt overrated on her accomplishments so far. Anyone could have sold the baby-glo thing (bar uber-idiot Melissa) and the fact that she has been in a shopping centre task for 2 out of last 3 weeks and both times failed to make sure they had stall/shop open at 10am is SCANDALOUS...........if I was Sugar i'd be pulling my hair out at this and really having it out with her. Is this gonna be her attitude all the time?

Liz is a fox. she is thin, beautiful and has a fearsome rack.
She would be hired time and time again and people will buy from her. Whether you like it or not - looks go a long long way in business, combine them with a reasonable personality and away you go. |
