I think it's pretty sad that the nation think that Stacey should win this..

I don't like being dictated to.

But it seems that this is whom I should be voting for according to all the odds....or whatever it's all about.

I.e. What about all us people who don't care a toss about all the bookie odds? And sick being told that is what is?

But we're being programmed that it's a cert?

I say FO...and let me decide for myself.

Just because lots of people feel a certain way, it doesn't mean you should attribute it to the nation as a whole, and claim you're being dictated to . Like anyone else, you can vote for whoever you want. Nobody is going to stop you from doing so. Out of curiosity, do do you intent on voting for?

I think public voting isn't a fair way to decide a winner for any tv show nowadays.

So you don't think that there's a certain projection involved?

Yep, do away with the public vote and let the media vote

In any competition, there's always going to be favourites. Often they fall by the wayside. The betting odds reflect what people feel at this particulalr time.

Stacey, so far, is fave to win simply because she seems so nice. she has participated in tasks without a hint of moaning and always has a smile on her face! I hope she wins - and that is MY opinion, not influenced by forums, media or the bookies!

This ^^^^

However, I do agree that nobody is being force-fed Stacey. Even Anton Deck take the mick out of her.

Newspapers, media and people you talk to can undoubtedly influence how you think about a candidate in any electoral situation but you have to be strong willed and make your own mind up based on your own personal viewpoint after processing all the information directly (bearing in mind that this information can be presented in an edited or slanted way).

I am sure we are all clever and wise enough to do that.

The other celebs they have spoken to in the Bush Telegraph have all said without prompting how much they like Stacey. To the OP just because she is favorite to win doesn't mean that you have to vote for her. Also as the post a few above said she isn't being pushed up front and getting all the airtime and the presenters on both ITV1 & ITV2 are taking the mick out of her which I'm sure she would take in all in good spirit if she knew.

Have to say I can't find anything to dislike about Stacey...

She might get irritating if you were living with her 24/7, but overall she seems pleasant enough.

Yep, and that's why I have done exactly that and still can't find any reason as to why Stacey was favourite to win over any other candidate before the show even aired.....and more so now that it has.

So because she's proved to be 'pleasant enough' ...is that the criteria that bookies have put her as favourite to win?

Yes, possibly going by the winners of all the previous series who were all 'pleasant enough'. That's what bookies do.

How boring. I want someone who moans and bitches to win.

No.
A favourite is determined by the punters who put money on her to win, therefore the odds get shorter and shorter as more people put money on her.

So she is only favourite because a lot of people think she will win, not because the bookies like her.

Yes, if you don't rub too many people up the wrong way, are seen as reasonably 'entertaining' and just get on with the challenges that's more than enough...

My point was that she wasn't even in the jungle before being favourite to win.

But I guess now that ITV have that knowledge, and without being able to judge for ourselves via live streaming, they can edit her (and everyone else) pretty much how they want to.

True.

But still don't understand why Stacey is favourite over people like Britt Ekland, Nigel Havers, and Linford Christie.

All it proves to me is that the public have memories like goldfish. I.e. just because she was on X Factor last year...that's all.

Nigel Havers was on Coronation Street since then.
Are your eyes in a constant state of rolling because you don't like Stacey very much and confused as to how some others apparently do?
