That's a good point fatskia, but I think there's a happy medium between criticism and exaggerated flattery.

Thank you for reading my mind! She's nice to them all, she jokes with them, and she's not above some gentle ragging, but it's all done with affection and the slebs and pros respond accordingly. Why should she challenge them? What on earth for?

I mean, ITT isn't Newsnight, is it? If they wanted a presenter to challenge the guests, they'd get Jeremy Paxman to do it. This is a spin-off support show for Strictly, watched solely by fans, and there's not much point in Claudia being anything other than supportive. Heaven knows this forum would go into melt-down if she showed partiality for any of the contestants, so she almost has to tell them they are all brilliant. So what? Who gets hurt by her being nice?

I love Claudia - can't you tell?

To be fair I think the mad lass has done well to keep breathing life into ITT, great fun at first but keeping more of the same fresh is a hard ask.

Guess it's team orders and no-one is asking for confrontation but no need for such an obsequious approach ( and Bruce is lovely, lovely, lovely, oh and so is Craig and of course Len, in fact they're all lovely, lovely lovely).

Claudia also does a great job of getting through lots of segments in a live 30 minutes show. She's good at her job.

Claudia's quirkiness is what I love about her presenting style. Yes, she is a little sycophantic in her approach, but I imagine her job is to butter up celebs and make them feel warm and cozy. What gets me is how often she puts herself down to get a laugh. But her off-the-cuff self-deprecating quips make a refreshing change from Tess's scripted humour. In my humble opinion
