For the past few years picking the same person to do the trials day after day. Making the show boring, boring. This idiocy is just going to finish off the show for good.

Which is exactly why public voting should be removed from the show.

Not totally convinced anyone votes, I have never met anyone who admits to voting on this

This mirrors life - I can't find anyone who admits voting for Boris Johnson.

I just don't understand it. Everyone on here except one or two find the same person doing the trials everyday boring so surely she cannot be getting a great number of votes . I'm sure the voting must be close or else we have far more sadists in our midst.

It doesn't seem anything is killing the show, otherwise ratings would be down. I don't see them doing anything until perhaps ratings start to decline. ITV seem to be a "once you've got something popular, milk it to death" sort of channel and no effort seems to go into changing up their major shows even if fans are calling for it.

Personally, I think they should change the rule to a celebrity can;t be voted to do back to back trials. That way we'd get a bit more variety. The only way to stop the public voting the same day in and day out is to remove that option.

If campmates pick the people to do trials they would pick the people that are good at trials every time. The timid ones would escape, as everyone just wants a square meal each day.

The public did it to Natalie Appleton, and the show survived, so maybe it's what lots of viewers like. Nat eventually quit the show, and didn't Jordan also, her 2nd time? Maybe that's what people want this time too.

It seems a strange way to use up a week of the show, though. Is tormenting one celeb, or taking them down a peg, or whatever the motive is, really worth more than anything else that might have been seen instead?

It doesn't say much for the show if so many of its viewers care so little about anything else.

Noooo! I want the Mckeith voted into oblivion! I want to see her suffer (she doesn't have to, she can quit)
I am part of the evil public (not that I'd waste money voting, but I'm glad others do) who wants to see the Mckeith forced to do vile and horrible things, and then when voting to kick out starts, the Mckeith can be kicked.

I think you have a good point there,i was just thinking it`s all looking a bit medieval isn`t it?
A bit like going to Bedlam and torturing the afflicted for kicks.

True. Quite simply, things could be shaken up by stipulating that contestants are not compelled to do more than two BTTs in a row. After two, they should be exempt for at least one day.

Unfortunately this is part of the problem: gullible pillocks rewarding people like McKeith by giving them what they wanted all along.

She's playing YOU, not the other way around.

If she really is that desperate to get a name for herself different to her current one as channel 4`s official 'turd botherer'[who wouldnt be?]They should turn it on her and invent a shit/turd/dung/fecal matter related game

If people dont vote then you cant really be miserable that the outcome of Gillian being voted to bdo a trail actually happens.

Maybe the forum should pick on someone each day that has done Sweet FA in camp - Sheryl, Aggro or the playmate and if we all vote for them, then maybe it will tip the balance in their favour. I imagine voting numbers are extremely low to do BTT

That's what's happened with McKeith though isn't it?

She did two, was exempt (The Australian Job that Stacy did) and now has done another two. Maybe she'll be exempt from the next ...

It's simple psychology. This is an entertainment show. The public want to be entertained. Entertainment MIGHT take the form of a contestant who was amazingly good at trials (Martina, for example), so that you'd watch out of sheer admiration. Or it might be because the person taking part made such a massive fuss over it, and did so badly, that it was actually funny to watch. No-one who votes (and I personally don't) is going to vote for Stacey again because she did a reasonable job, with good grace, wasn't scared, and had already scoffed a kangaroo penis, thereby showing that she was up for it. Nice girl, and she may well win, but at this stage the GBP will vote purely on entertainment value.

To those that say voting for GM is playing her "game" - what sort of game is that? Is it the game that says "I'll make myself REALLY annoying and horrible and useless, so everyone hates me and laughs at me, and then I'll go home and I'll get a new career out of being REALLY unpopular?" Don't think that will work. If GM is playing a game, I think she's miscalculated massively, and it will catapult her even further into obscurity and public ridicule than she already is.

I was tempted to vote for her in hope she breaks down and quits the show. But I didn't want to give her any satisfaction or money..

it's also to do with wanting to see the camp hungry and miserable

who wants to see a load of celebs eating well and sitting round a campfire happy as larry? Not me, I want to see them living on a portion of rice and beans a day and winding each other up. That's the point of this particular reality show - I'm not a fan of Ann widdecombe cause the point of that show his for someone who is a relatively good dancer to win

IAC has always been a quick and dirty two week 'make a celeb eat a penis' laugh-a-thon

That's not necessary but they should change the rules - say two trials and you can't be voted for again. Then you'd stop these idiots spoiling the show for everyone else. Yes she's annoying and pathetic - but the people voting for her are even more annoying.

Yeah, they definately need to change the rules and make it say - after doing two back to back trials you miss the next vote.
Or else they are going to drive people over to the other channels, because the trials are getting boring when you get the likes of Gillian who is about as much good as an ashtray on a motorcycle and must be the most boring contestant ever !
