Business Trip? What a blatent disreguard for the law, hope they throw the book at him. Appearing in court should have been his priority, what a waste of public funds and time to ajurn the case so he could be on a tv show appauling |

He's not doing it for free, so it's business.

Like bus drivers, taxi drivers think they own the roads, about time the magistrates stood up and said NO! you were out of order, having a vendors license doesn't give you carte blanche to the highways. Put your hand up if you've ever been cut up by a taxi or a bus

I'm staggered they abandoned such a serious court case, the taxi drivers injuries are very serious and could affect him for life. Christy's lawyers are spouting a load of bull saying he is uncontactable, when they could contact him instantly through ITV and their links.

It's not like he's avoiding it for ever. He will still face the court

And you know what will happen if he is found guilty ... he will get a probation officer who will visit him at home because he is too famous to go to the local probation office ...

Can you imagine if this was Cheryl Tweedy/Cole? - This place would be in meltdown.

I cant say if Linford is guilty as I know nothing about it, that's for the court. But it's one of the reasons I dont like him. He is very judgemental and yet has a history that isn't exactly sparkly.

Put your hand up if you've ever been cut up by a taxi or a bus ![]() If you know anything about country backroads, you would realise that its highly likely that round the next blind bend a car or a tractor or a pheasant will be coming! Although it hasn't come to a trial yet, the passangers in the taxi were quite seriously injured. Linford is the one facing a dangerous driving charge, not the taxi driver or a bus driver. Yes, I would expect to see taxi's on a country road. When bus services stop at 6pm at night round here, I expect to see a lot of taxi's! Also, whilst you are ranting about bus drivers, in their defence, a lot of drivers who do the rural services, drive the same route every day, get to know their customers well, usually elderly people, school kid's, teens and mum's with children, whose partners have the car for their jobs. These drivers tend to be thoughtful, they will stop to pick up and set down oaps outside their houses (not just at designated stops) and help people with their shopping. Granted there are some who think they own the road, but I still think the guys who drive the rural services are a kind bunch. You should see the amount of chocolates they get given by their customers at Christmas! But back to Linford. Yes, he is on business in Australia. But, I feel for the taxi driver and his passengers, it can't be pleasant for them having the court case adjourned, then him popping up on TV. Although, if Linford went to boost his popularity, I don't think he is helping himself. The way he spoke to Kayla was very rude, also the way he spoke to Lempit seems a tad hippocritical, given that he has his own court case coming up. Quote:

I've always admired Linford for his sporting acheivements. I am afraid he has gone down a bit in my esteem for his rude and judgemental comments to a couple of the others. |
