Like bus drivers, taxi drivers think they own the roads, about time the magistrates stood up and said NO! you were out of order, having a vendors license doesn't give you carte blanche to the highways.
Put your hand up if you've ever been cut up by a taxi or a bus

Are you for real?
If you know anything about country backroads, you would realise that its highly likely that round the next blind bend a car or a tractor or a pheasant will be coming!
Although it hasn't come to a trial yet, the passangers in the taxi were quite seriously injured.
Linford is the one facing a
dangerous driving charge, not the taxi driver or a bus driver.
Yes, I would expect to see taxi's on a country road. When bus services stop at 6pm at night round here, I expect to see a lot of taxi's!
Also, whilst you are ranting about bus drivers, in their defence, a lot of drivers who do the rural services, drive the same route every day, get to know their customers well, usually elderly people, school kid's, teens and mum's with children, whose partners have the car for their jobs.
These drivers tend to be thoughtful, they will stop to pick up and set down oaps outside their houses (not just at designated stops) and help people with their shopping. Granted there are some who think they own the road, but I still think the guys who drive the rural services are a kind bunch. You should see the amount of chocolates they get given by their customers at Christmas!
But back to Linford. Yes, he is on business in Australia.
But, I feel for the taxi driver and his passengers, it can't be pleasant for them having the court case adjourned, then him popping up on TV.
Although, if Linford went to boost his popularity, I don't think he is helping himself. The way he spoke to Kayla was very rude, also the way he spoke to Lempit seems a tad hippocritical, given that he has his own court case coming up.

I agree with you. It does leave a bad taste in the mouth, it is a fairly serious case, the driver will have lost his livelihood at the moment and, as you say, he could be affected for life.
I've always admired Linford for his sporting acheivements. I am afraid he has gone down a bit in my esteem for his rude and judgemental comments to a couple of the others.
