http://www.realityblurred.com/realit...debut_schedule
Big Brother 13 will debut on July 7 and air on nearly the same schedule it did last year: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. However, the Thursday live show has been moved to 9 p.m. ET, while the Wednesday and Sunday episodes will both continue to air at 8. Last year, the show moved to Wednesdays and all of its episodes aired at 8 p.m. CBS’ announcement offered no details about the new season or its twist, nor did it mention the broadcast of After Dark on Showtime. However, the network did announce that its show Same Name, a reality series following quasi-celebrities swapping lives with someone who shares their name, will air after Big Brother on Sunday nights starting on July 24. |

I hope this is a lot better than last time. BB12 was genuinely awful series made up of a bunch of followers, the only exception being the wonderful Rachel (<3).

The word "wonderful" should not appear in the same sentence as Rachel!
![]() But I agree, BB12 sucked big time. But I'm expecting good stuff from BB13, because surely people will be on the look out for secret alliances now, and it could cause major paranoia, and hopefully that means unpredictability. Hoping for an explosive cast too, because surely BB14 will be All Stars 2, and they'll need some big characters from this season to add to the hype, just like BB6 did before the original All Stars.

BB12 was only watchable because there were a handful of contestants who made entertaining viewing. The successful alliance were all obnoxious/annoying though.

I loved BB12. The whole secret alliance really annoyed me because they did litereally run the house and i couldn't stand them (mainly Enzo). But the season had some amazing people, Britney being one of them! She made it so funny and amazing. Also all the drama from Brendan and Rachel.
Bring on July! I'm so excited for it.

Rachel was a wonderful contestant. Just in all the wrong ways! She was by far the best thing about BB12, which is a bit tragic when you think about it!
![]() If she isn't back for another season, I'll be seriously heartbroken!

Only watched little bits and pieces of one series. So I need to know, the US one better than the UK one? What are the main differences, I'm intrigued.

![]() The viewers don't vote on evictions so there's none of that Appreciation Thread business dragging the show down. This isn't to say things are perfect. As for which is better, both formats have strengths and flaws. The last BBUS was something close to terrible IMO. Edit - Goodness, how could I forget about the host? BBUS has an advantage in Julie Chen. Julie Chen is simply magical. ![]() Another edit - There's also the Head of Household and Veto competitions. Someone should be along to explain those shortly. In the meantime, have some Wiki. |

It's an open competition for a start. Cliques and backstabbing can ensure a houseguest's survival.

What channel is it on? |

![]() Links to the CBS episodes and occasional scraps of live feed pop up here and there and unless there's some severe Geoblocking this year you should be able to subscribe to the main internet live feed if you choose. |

Hamsterwatch reports that an Android app to watch the live feeds on your phone or tablet is coming July 1. I don't know if this will work in the UK or not.

Bring on July! I'm so excited for it.The "brigade" was annoying... but Hayden was a deserving winner I think. Just not the winner I wanted. Loved Annie, Ragan, Britney and even Rachel made for entertaining viewing in BB12. And there was all those secrets that they revealed at the end. Sabatour, Brigade, Ragan's job, Hayden/Kristen, Matt's lie.. ahhh, it was so good to watch.

Britney was the only saving grace of BB12 for me, but even that wasn't enough to save it from being one of my least favourite seasons ever, just above BB9 for me.
