Cancelling Virgin phone and broadband service
Hello all
![]() After 8 years with NTL/Virgin Media I am moving house (shared, with already existing Sky package) I rang up Virgin (150) and asked how to go about cancelling my services. I was told it would all be over the phone and the CS person went through with me and advised to disconnect all equipment on the day of move or before to stop incurring charges. My new adress was taken to forward the last bill to my new premis. I am just a little puzzled that I don't have to send in anything in writing. Is this standard practice nowadays? Sorry.. maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned but I thought cancellations had to be in writing with 30 days notice. Does anybody have experience on leaving Virgin Media this way..did it work? No hassle afterwards? Can it be really as simple as that? Many thanks for your help ![]() J. |
