Shaun Ryder stick it out for a couple more days

And hopefully gillian will be gone

I did feel sorry for Shaun and for 13 peeps to be in such a small area I can understand his feelings. For some it can take time to get to know someone and thats not such a bad thing. He probably struggled from the beginning but did not make a song and dance about it like Gillian.

I think the final straw came when Jenny and Dom were added and to narly finish the bloke off Alison. Like he said to her its nothing against her but its just the sheer number of people, and that would do "my head in" too.

I do hope Shaun sticks to it and get past that first eviction, the number will decrease and am sure it will ease it a bit for him. I think as long as he stays on the edge of the camp he will feel a bit easier and people just give him the time. Not all showbiz folk I guess are in your face like some

He's one of the more entertaining characters in the camp, and I hope he stays in a while. I think he's just someone who's used to his own company and having a bit of quiet time every day. I'm the same, and I'd have reacted exactly the same way to Alison's arrival. It's nothing about her personally, just that "bubbly" people can be a bit of a trial for us Eeyore types.

I don't think Shaun has ever been a 'showbiz' type and people who are loud and in your face are probably his worst nightmare. I think if I was stuck in a confined space with Alison, Stacey and Gillian, I'd be looking for the nearest rope and tree.

He needs to stick it out as things will get better once the numbers start to go down. The show would be all the poorer without him.

Totally agree. Can you imagine sitting bored out you're mind as there's nothing to do, really hungry and that noise just constantly in your head cackling away? I'd be wanting to kill someone never mind myself. I cant stand people who need to "perform" constantly. There's a girl in our office(who thinks she's funny) who drones on about her weekend from the minute she gets in on a Monday til she leaves on a Wednesday. from the Thursday morning til the Friday night it's what she's going to do that weekend. All at a level where you cant think straight. There are times I've had to go to the loo and just sit for five minutes before I've said something really nasty. In the jungle it must be so magnified.

.
ITV did NOT force Shaun to go into the jungle, so what is he moaning about. He caused enough LOUD LOUD LOUD ruckus in his day as lead singer with 'The Happy Mondays'....they did a great first album which, I have.

And as for the terrible medical condition he has according to his wife...HUH!. I have the same condition as do thousands and thousands and thousands. Tablet everyday day and regular blood tests....that is all.

He's sort of likeable, but I think Shaun's ability to entertain has been somewhat exaggerated. Mildly amusing during the eating trial, but otherwise an intolerant character with some social issues.

Really!! Squirrel And G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out) is generally not considered as their finest hour.

Quite a raw album, but Olive Oil is great.
Would have to say Bummed is my favourite album of theirs.

Having been a fan of Shaun since his days with the Mondays its great to see him on prime time tv and looking back to his old self after many fragile years.

Just hope he sticks it out in the Jungle.

I hope Shaun stays there until the end, it seems he is just being himself and not really playing up to the cameras all the time. It'll be sad if he goes.

Well said. I wonder with some celebs whether they still have a non-*performing* personality.

Shaun is one of the more unusual 'finds' for 'I'm a Celeb', and it would be a shame if he went out so soon.

I have to say I'm not even watching it at this point. It just sounds much too irritating, and I have a lot of other things to do. But I'm hoping to start once the numbers are thinned a bit and some of the more irritating ones (hopefully) have gone.

I hope Shaun's one of the ones who's still there.

Get real. I'm sure millions of people would love the opportunity this pampered bunch have been given. Spending 2 weeks in a forest and pocketing £50,000. I certainly would put up with any of the discomforts out there for that sort of money.

Oh, absolutely, i'd never even heard of him and quite frankly i can't see what the fuss is all about! He just seems like a rather crude old moaner to me with nothing much to say or do! No entertainment value at all!

What's the deal with him claiming Step On is 'his tune'.

He was only about 10 years old when John Kongos originally released it.

For the first couple of days I wanted Shaun to win, now I can't wait to see the back of him. His attitude towards Alison when she entered the camp was very telling. He said she was loud and gobby, but it's okay for him to be so. He doesn't like women, as he didn't want any of them in the male camp to start with. And his constant swearing is getting on my nerves.

She IS loud and gobby and would get on my nerves if I had to spend more than 10 minutes in her company. How many have you walked away from people because they are in your face too much.

He has NOT been loud and gobby, he's said how he feels to a few selective people, without ruffling any feathers.

And if his constant swearing gets on your nerves turn the sound off, or join a monastery cos that's how most people talk nowadays

Why bother dress up your views with a smiley when it appears you don't mean to be 'smiley?' I don't understand the point in that. Anyway, everyone has their opinion, and I am free to express it without being told to bugger off. Shaun is loud and gobby, e.g. standing up and shouting, 'We're not f..king gambling'. Just one instance. If Alison had said that, well. I can imagine the reaction. I liked Shaun to start with, wanted him to win, but not now, he's just too miserable (still think he has great teeth).

I can't stand the moaning git. Allison must have felt so awkward, she had just as much right to be there. I hate the hostility to "newbies".
