Hi, Anyone enjoys eating chicken wings? I come across a recipe and gave it a try yesterday. Yummy. Here is the recipe.

Chicken Wings Recipes: Healthier Frying with wine

Any other cooking methods worthy of a try? Welcome to share.

The famous one is probably buffalo wings / hot wings which is where they are generally deep fried, but could also be roasted, then tossed in sauce.

You can also get chinese wings where they have a chinese style/flavour rub on them.

Another chinese style is in a sticky BBQ sauce.

Dip in natural yoghurt to which tandoori spices have been added, then bake - delicious

It was kind of like Sweet & Sour but Black.

--------------------

For the sauce:

No quantities here, but what I did for the sauce was

Ginger, Garlic finley chopped

Onion in big pieces

A few slices of Carrot.

Fry gently in a pan/wok to cook and soften.

The rest was a bit of an all in

Added squirts of HP Fruity and Ketchup.

A bit of 5 Spice and a load of Soy

Brown sugar or Honey

1/2 cup of Chicken Stock

Reduced it and added Cornflour to thicken.

Make sure you have more sauce than you would expect to need.

------------------

For the wings:

I cut the wings at the knuckle so you get two pieces per wing.

I actually microwaved them on a pre-set chicken portion setting then deep fried them to make them cripsy.

A slow deep fry or oven cooking would be fine as long as they are cooked but I think you need a crispy skin so that it doesn't go too soggy when you put them in the sauce.

-------------------

Finished dish:

Add the wings to the sauce and reduce more to have a nice gloopy, sticky sauce

Add a few dashes of the ingredients to taste at the end of cooking if needed.”

Hi, all, thanks for the recommendations. Sorry, I don't know how to multi-quote. So, here's the message for all.

degsyhufc -- Buffalo wings are delicious. I tried the Chinese BBQ sauce ones in my friend's home. Another friend fried Chicken Wings with wine, soy sauce and ginger, it tasted even better than those in the article.

don't ask -- Your recipe is new to me. I will give it a try.

AppleJuice -- Agree with you. Yummy.

Peach45 -- Generally 3 - 4 piece.

Paul1511 -- Wow.

A simple recipe is to use curry sauce in cooking.
