And if she ruined the previous mission, why is she back at work the next day? Her shocked reaction to the email, & their conversation in the office " a day will come when the source code can be used", plus Coulters (non dead) body tells me that her memory has been wiped, and that SHE too (& possibly her colleagues??) are also in the source code, & that it goes much deeper than anyone imagines. I don't think she remembers the events of the previous day, because this is a different timeline and those events didn't happen for her. In this timeline the train bomb didn't explode and the bomber was caught by an anonymous tip-off. This Goodwin didn't let Colter die; that was a Goodwin from a different timeline.

I suspect Source Code had probably succeeded many times, but each time in a different universe, causing it to not be necessary in the ending universe. (But this supposes the many universes have independent existence.)

At the end of the film, I think it's undeniable that there are two universes, each going their own path. The Goodwin in the original is in hot water for letting Colter die, and she doesn't get the text message explaining what happened. Colter can't text between universes.

I know it's a bit late to join in this conversation, but I'm going to anyway!

I saw Source Code today, and thought it was a fab film. The only thing that spoiled it for me was the ending, as many people have said already. There are many reasons for this, and I'm not clever enough to go into all the science-y stuff, but the main reason is that we were treated to a fast paced action packed 80+ minutes, and then at the end, for the last 10 minutes or so, it all got very slow, and I didn't like the contrast!

For me, the perfect ending would've been

freeze frame, then unfreeze frame and Colter's face became Sean's face, then Goodwin turns off Colter's machine. (we had all accepted that he was gonna die at the end of his mission anyway). The end.

Watched the Blu-ray version the other night.

Thought it was competent thriller but contained nothing that hadn't already been done many times before.

A film like that probably deserves a more eloquent and considered review, but hell, it's early, suffice it to say my girlfreind (fairly resistant to sci-fi) and I loved it.

Just hired it today ( along with Unknown and Limitless, so an action packed day) and agree it was bloody brilliant. probably been said but a bit of Quantum Leap, Groundhog Day and Deja-Vu, oh and The Matrix of course. Superb

Yeah its a great film, I liked the ending though it finshed it off nice with just a little twist.

I've watched all these kind of movies and this was brilliant.

Better than Unknown, better than Limitless too and definitely as good as The adjustment bureau.

Very well made.

And Knowing and Premonition. These are my favourite types of films. I always loved The Time Tunnel from the 60's as well...........That could do with a remake

Also I liked the ending in the film noticed a few people felt it went on too long. I disagree as films like Unknown had a weak ending.

It's a fantastic movie.

There's been a few of this kind since like In Time, The Adjustment Bureau, Deja Vu, Limitless and Jumper. All great action thrillers with some sci-fi.

If you have seen Source Code and enjoyed it The Adjustment Bureau is a good one to watch too. It's added romantic element makes it powerful and great cinema to watch.

These movies aren't really common in the early 00's would like to see more of the above kind of movies.

Really enjoyed it. Seen one like it before but this was really good. Not sure what happened at the end. Was he stuck in that fellas body or was he going to stay their and solve more crimes? Or go into someone elses body.
It looked a bit like a pilot for a tv series. Would make a good one i think
