I don't often post ..but i have to say sadly X Factor just leaves me cold now.I used to look forward to It many moons ago ..But Simon has become so cocky now ,arrogant and rude ..also delusional with One Direction!..If they had been Lulus band he would have slated them I bet.
His relationship and whispers with The Geordie Princess makes me sick.
How mizghan or whatever her name is puts up with him ..apart from money..One person only in His eyes and that name begins with an SSo if some people get the christmas vote again good luck to them .

Ah, you clearly know Simon a LOT better than the parents of the disabled children's charity that he supports, and whose dinner he attended earlier this week. Not one of these parents has a bad word to say for him, and he's been patron of that charity for several years now.

Still, a reality TV show is definitely the best way to get to know someone, isn't it? I mean, they'll really be showing the TRUE person in that situation, won't they, so you can't possibly mistake it.

I used to trust Simon's judgement and integrity but frankly something has happened to make him utterly false. He is living in bad faith when he praises up acts that are pretty much sh*te.

I don't mind one direction that much and can forgive him for standing by his own act.

But so much of the other comments he makes have made him lose any credibility.

Yes I am not disputing about his charity work He does have the money ..and I am not saying he is evil or any thing ,,
He has become rather a machine rather than a man .
Good luck to him not that he needs it ..But his decisions on the show are a joke now

I thought it began with a $?

Simon's lost all credibility in my view, he's not interested in the show or the contestants and seeks only ratings and cash.

It's "Yooman Rites" innit! You are not allowed to offend anyone any more because we are told to be nicey, nicey by the Sprouts (Brussels to erks). This is what being part of Europe means you see, and we are paying £billions for this pleasure. For Simon to be nasty he could be had up for abuse - especially for any that are under 18 years old - Child Abuse is horridest!

Erm, no, I am not joking either!

There's no question Simon's a generous, compassionate individual, away from the madness of XFactor. However regarding his role as judge, you're right OP. He was always spot on in the past, now I no longer value his opinion. It's like he's washed his hands of it all. He plays games, and is contrary for the sake of it - rating anyone Louis or Dannii aren't struck on and conversely, when they're positive, say they're awful. Silly Simon!

Simon's judgement used to be a big reason for why I've watched XF/American Idol. The American's have worked out that Simon's supposed advise is not what he claims it to be. We're getting there as the forums will conclude. Sadly many still hang on Simon's every word.

The Simon and Cheryl show is repulsive and needs to be dropped NOW.

Fair comment but I think that perhaps you've been a bit harsh on the OP, not everyone follows what Simon Cowell does outside of the X Factor, and it is saturday night prime time viewing after all, people are bound to judge him on what he is known best for.

Purely in terms of the X Factor I have lost respect for him, in the past I found that although he often judged harshly it was always fairly, now I can't believe some of the stuff he's saying, I'd much rather have 'nasty' Simon back!

Personally I've always believed there's a lovely side to Simon too, many people are going to say his charity work is simply for publicity but I think that's unfair, but that's showbiz I guess, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

When was the moment that the trickle downhill all began?

Was it his love (and oh yes, he did) of Michelle McManus? c. 2003

Was it when he declared that Hope were the 'best band' that had ever been on the XF? c. 2007

Or, could it be when he lavished the most ridiculous praise on Eoghan Quigg.........? c. 2008

The man has been a caricature of himself for years' now....and he's gotten worse as time goes by.

Simon wants to win SOOOOOOOOOOO badly this year that it is clouding his judgement.

His band 1 Direction are not that good.

The turning point was last year when he had the casting vote to send John & Edward home & he sent it to deadlock, despite be critical of them for weeks, meaning that the vastly superior, but less newsworthy Lucie went.

From that point on, the rules of engagement changed & XF ceased to be about talent.
