Hi,

I have recently bought a canon 1000D Camera and looking for a SD card.

Which one should i buy Sandisk Ultra or Ultra II?

Thanks

Either, it doesn't make much difference to be honest. The Ultra II will give slightly faster download of images to your computer if you use a card reader, other than that there's no difference.

The bottleneck is the camera, not the card.

Ultra is a class 4 card. Whilst things are never always that simple a class 10 card should be at least as fast and certainly fine for the device.

Google 'class 10 SDHC' and you should find a 16GB one at about £16.

mymemory and 7dayshop are usually good too.

The 1000D doesn't record video or have a particularly high framerate so you'd be fine with just a standard SD card, no real need to shell out on an Ultra/Extreme card.

Oh no it isn't. Card read/write speeds are where the camera slows down....

It's worth spending a bit more and going for a couple of these. A couple of smaller cards is better than one large one. You could take so many photos that you become lazy and keep everything (filling your hard drives very quickly)

I would recommend something like this. http://www.mymemory.co.uk/SDHC/SanDi...B_s---Class-10

Spend a bit more and you will have better kit. Even if frame rate is low, you will benefit from a faster card in some situations...
