That's how I saw her as she prowled around the dancefloor.

I thought this American Smooth was too aggressive. There were moments where I felt quite embarrassed actually.

After her elegant Foxtrot, I was expecting something equally refined from Pamela this time. But it seems she and James took the judge's comments about their Cha Cha (which did need a bit more cheek and sauciness) and inappropriately applied them to an American Smooth which is supposed to be more sophisticated.

I didn't think much of the entrances into the lifts (too telegraphed) or the dismounts from them (a bit too heavy).

There was a lot of over-marking tonight, but I thought this dance in particular was scored too highly. It wasn't a 10.

Oh I don't worry about that lizzy - this is a discussion forum, not the appreciation threads - why shouldn't we be critical?

It was okay. Not as good as they made out, probably her best dance in my eyes though.

To be fair, I don't think it deserved 10's but neither did Matt or Scott. James obviously responded to the judges demands, I actually enjoyed.

To be fair, so many people on here dislike Pamela that there is no danger of that, people are more likely to agree with you.

Pamel did seem to be hamming it up too much at times; some of her facial expressions were way too much, and I could see Craig''s gripe about the raised shoulders. But I still LOVED it!!! Such an inventive, adventurous dance, and so much trust between them.

I'm with you Sid - in parts of that routine Pamela was dancing with her mouth wide open. Perhaps this was meant to convey absorption in the dance - looked pretty gormless to me.

I'm with you on this.

This forum seems to really dislike Pamela and no doubt will have a lovely time pulling the dance/her to pieces. I agree it didnt deserve 10s but others were overmarked tonight too.

I think James started off the right way this year in ignoring the pressure to use props etc.

He is very good at simple classy choreography and I would like to see him switch back to what he does best. It would suit Pamela better too.

I thought it was brilliant and in relation to the scoring overall tonight, was just about right. There is a huge amount of mind-boggling overscoring this series anyway, but this dance was definitely in my top 2.

I don't think it was too predatory at all, it went with the story of the dance – there's nothing wrong with a sexually aggressive lady being portrayed. It's all about personal taste, and I'm not offended by the portrayal of a sexually dominant woman taking the lead . It suits her personality, and I quite like the role reversal – makes a change from the ubiquitous demure female wallflower playing hard to get.

Not very brave - that's me <smooooooochxx> back to you

Didn't realise that about Pamela - I'm obviously not very observant either!!

I have to agree with you on this Sid. I wasn't mad about it. I found the whole predatory thing a bit 'hammy'. They should have gone with elegant as you said.

I don't think any of the dances tonight deserved a 10, if Kara's was techically incorrect.

Kara's was the best dance by a mile for me. None of the others came close and some were downright awful.

Completely agree with the part in bold. Her facial expressions are OTT and rather off-putting. I find myself more interested in her gurning than her footwork!

Totally agree Sid , but I hated everything after Lens nastiness and pettiness to Kara ,
But I found Pamela hard to watch tonight and wanted to wipe the smile off her face for some reason .

Wasn't keen on the storyline or the facial expressions but thought Pamela danced it well.
Would have preferred a more classy dance as I think she could have pulled it off.

Pleased James got his first 10

Why the rolled eyes? I wasn't being offensive. Just wait until this thread has gone a bit further, and you see I'm right

Regarding the parts in bold, take a look at the front page of the forum - there are threads criticising virtually all the celebrities. So Pam isn't the exception.

And I did acknowledge that other dances were over-marked in my opening post. I said the same of the 10's for Kara's American Smooth elsewhere (and I voted for her!). We're just discussing the dancing and commenting on how it could have been made better in what proved to be quite a disappointing night all round. It's not a personal vendetta against anyone. It's what this discussion forum is for.

I really didn't think that it was in the same class as kara and Artem, that one moved me and Pamela and James whilst clean and precise in the most part was just a bit off all the way thorugh

the woman can dance definatley but has yet to move me the way some of Kara dances have

I loved it, although I don't think it was worth 10s. Pamela strikes me as someone who's sexually confident in her own skin - strangely I'm more embarrassed by watching Matt trying to be sexy.

I agree with this

Loved Pamela & James' routine tonight and felt that they fully deserved their place on the leader board.

I agree that their foxtrot was beautiful, but I love the fact that Pamela can dance in many different styles and always mange to pull it off.

The choreography was great in my opinion, the routine suited them and I thought Pamela danced really well.

I think there is when it's done in the context of an American Smooth.

I found Pamela's role more suited to a Tango or a Salsa or Cha Cha.

I certainly wasn't offended by it though (takes a lot to offend me!), but I was slightly puzzled and made to cringe.

Matt is about as sexy as a puppy. He's far too nice and bland to be sexy.
