I think it could certainly land them in trouble, I wonder why they decided to leave that in on their VT

He said something like: "where were my women voters last week...doing the dishes?"

Won't make me form a protest but made us raise our eyebrows when we were watching.

It made me laugh - but then Vincent usually does.

I just take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Obviously the cocky Italian thing is his little thread but I don't think everyone found it funny is all.

I can see how Vincent's comments might cause a bit of a stir if this was the first time someone was tuning in.

But most people will have been watching the show long enough to know it's all tongue in cheek.

My mum giggled, so did my sister. They certainly weren't offended.

I think a lot of people would have found it funny (i did) but it was brave to have it on the VT as a lot of people dont have the same sense of humour or any! and it was bound to make some people think what???!!!!! maybe he is ready to go now they've made it to Blackpool?

I feel the shadow of TerryM looming over this thread.

Vincent tries to be funny but I think he actually believes some of the stuff he comes out with.

Lol, you've got to love Vincent and his sayings!

I think he'll probably find that his women were voting for the like of Scott or Matt or anyone really who is more enjoyable to watch than Felicity last week (Not that I dont like her - I think she's got the best wardrobe this series).

Vincen's comments are not anywhere near as tongue-in-cheek as he is given credit for. He rarely says anything he doesn't actually believe.

Have you evidence for that or do you read minds?

i would say his slight smiles, cheeky eyes and intonations would belie that.

If Vincent really was that conceited, I doubt he'd have managed to strike up such close and long-lasting friendships with each of his celebrity partners.

I can see that behind the bravado is a sweet and sensitive and affectionate guy.

I don't read minds! But the dance world is quite small & everyone tends to know everyone or have close friends who know everyone ....... if you know what I mean?

I'm a man and I winced when he said it (even though I thought he was joking). The two ladies I was watching the show with were not amused at all.

He was kidding, having a laugh, bit of a josh at his women voters - I'm sure they won't hold it against him.

Vincent is an italian male and they are for the most part very sexist! the funniest thing though is that while the males have the attitude the women tend to be the ones who rule the roost so he may be sexist but in actuality is probably scared of his Mum and does whatever she tells him!

We would be voting if he had a different partner. I find Felicity a bit embarassing - she's always groping him. There's nothing wrong having an older woman - and Pamela does it better. Felicity is is a bit cringey to watch.

In society, there's always the offended few who are not satisfied until they've got something to moan about.

It was a tongue in cheek comment totally within character of this elf-like Italian. In fact, I've probably just offended elf-like persons, Italians and of course I must have offended the offended?

I took this comment in good humour, it was just typical Vincent. However, I did think there would no doubt be some offended by it and maybe the odd complaint made to OFCOM

Vincent has a typical italian male sense of humour. I know because my parents/relatives are italian. It's obvious he was only joking.
