Kara and Artem.

While I DO appreciate the outstanding dance from Kara & Artem - whether it was supposed to be the Foxtrot or the Birdie Dance it was brilliantly danced and that's what matters - my favourite couple is still the same as it was 7 weeks ago.
I bet if there was a poll for best dance of week 8 they would top that, and I would vote for it but fav couple is Scott & Natalie.

Agree with Bonnie that maybe we should rename these threads for favourite and least favourite couple of the week, but as that's how I always vote anyway it doesn't matter so much to me

On that basis, Kara and Artem get my vote this week for producing one of my all-time favourite SCD dances. I don't care what it was (though I can see why Len did), it was gorgeous and the only dance of the night that deserved its 10s.

Ultimate fave is still Matt but despite the 10s, I'm waiting for a step change in his dancing now...

When I have a single favourite I vote for them week in week out, but I when I don't, I pick the couple I liked the best that week and they might not have been the best dancers.

I guess that's the choice you have to make when voting and I'm not sure if we would be allowed to have more than one type of poll pinned.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on how the polls should be worded?

Still Scott and Natalie I loved their Samba.

Still loving Kara though her dance was outstanding.

I think it's fine the way it is - favourite couple. No matter the wording, people would vote the way they see fit so I don't see the point in changing it.

Pam and James, think their AS was lovely.

without doubt Kara and Artem. Best dance I've ever seen on Strictly. She was beyond incredible. And in my eyes gets better every week.

Love Pam and James (and would love to see them in the last four at least) but for me Kara & Artem are the absolute favourites since BP. Gr8 couple!

Interesting that G&K are third here. That could set the cat amongst the pigeons if replicated nationwide. Very close for positions 3, 4 and 5 after the top two.

I think (in this poll) that Pamela and James are the real losers this week......Scott didnt have a brilliant week but Pamela did and she deserves to have more votes really.......however being able only to choose one means someone who did well may have to loose out. The judges (well Len really) may have chosen her American Smooth to be the best of the night score wise, but a lot of people thought Kara was outstanding and the votes reflect it.

Gavin has a lot of support I think.....I vote for him every week (on the phone not on here) along with Kara/Scott/Pamela (as needed) Gavin isnt the best dancer obviously but I like his partnership with Katya.

My loyalty remains with Gavin & Katya Even though Kara & Artem were the best by some distance this weekend

I don't think it would make a difference for a lot of people, as their favourite is their favourite regardless of whether their dance is actually the best on the night or not (and by best i don't necessarily mean top of the leaderboard).

My favourites are Pamela & James, Matt & Aliona and Kara & Artem, so likelihood is I will always like one of their dances best and so vote for them, it's been Kara the past couple of weeks even though my other favourites were fabulous on Saturday too. As an example, Scott has never been my favourite because even his table-topping dances have not excited me, therefore he still wouldn't get my vote.

I so wanted to love Kara & Artems dance as technically it was brilliant, but somehow their partnership isn't very believable. Can't put my finger on whats wrong but I don't think they like one another very much which spoils the loveliness of the dances.

Matt - brilliant very like able guy......like his partner.
Kara - lovely dance but she comes over as false and so does He, this shy guy is not working.
Scott - like Scott but cant abide Natalie, she puts me off this couple.
Gavin....feel sorry for him.....shame he cant get over his self........
Pam - nice dance but not brilliant, she was too loose in some of the moves made her more creepy than diva.

Wow, i appreciate that's your opinion but i and alot of other people feel that she's a really honest and genuine person and so is artem, they are not afraid to say what they are really feeling and that's what alot of people like about them.

Then again maybe it is the celebrity half of the couple that I'm thinking of rather than the couple. For this week only I will rank Kara and Artem as most favourite as I loved their dance and Kara being protective of Artem.

I know what you mean BB and in the end I just picked the performance I enjoyed the most - which was Kara & Artem too.

I have to agree with Karen on choreography corner last night. Kara & Artems was more like a showdance rather than a proper AS.

That's interesting. I don't see Artem as shy, I think he's pretty gallant and well-mannered and often let's Kara do all the talking. I see them as an honest pair, really.

I would love to see Kara and Artem win as I think they are the best couple and have a certain something others lack.

I'd like Matt to take second place because if you compare the dances over the weeks Kara has been more consistent.
