I have just watched last nights X factor and yet again Katie is begging the public for another chance. Her song choices and singing strikes me as very theatrical and pleading.

It's all getting a bit desperate ... especially with the poor little orphanannie haircut and new look last night ...

Let's look at some of the song titles: ´

Don't Let Me Down

Help

Save Me From Myself

Can't remember the others but I think I spot a theme.

No, she is just being the real Katie. No style, all substance. Just 100% sincere pleas for another chance to share her love for music with the nation for another week.

I read that she sang Help! last night.

Pardon the pun, but I don't think song choices like that will help her at all. She's just coming off so desperate, it's incredibly off-putting.

They have mostly been on a similar help/save me theme.

Her Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting also tied in with the "I'll keep on fighting and smiling" talk.

As did We Are The Champions ("....we'll keep on fighting 'til the end"), and Smile (...."when your heart is breaking").

That's Katie's three-pronged psychological attack - help/save me, I'll keep smiling through, I'll keep fighting.

Do the song choices contain a hidden message to influence the viewers?

Bewitched failed miserably with me then!

Well I have to say, it is impressive, in theory. In reality it has been disasterous and only bent judging and piss-weak competition (Aiden) has kep her alive to date.

I thought the point of the sing off was to show how good you are and how well you can sing...but I could be wrong..

I thought the same thing.

With all due respect, why don't you just give up on her?

It would clearly appear that the vast majority of the people who watch XF would like to see her go - although there's always a remote chance I could be proved wrong tonight if you vote enough.

It should about singing a song that showcases your talent the most..not an excersize in who can plead to stay on the show the most.

...and if all she can do is plead...then she's a one trick pony and should be off, imo.

I have given her a fair chance but she's unbearably self indulgent and pleading that I really wish she'd go now, despite her talent. That gigantic backdrop black and white image of her crying was the last straw for me.

And that was Kaite's choice? No. Just like Cher being under a large old tree under dark skies. Cant people be constructive on here? The only thing the acts have any control over is their voice. Katies sounded great last night.

Yeah I agree. She's sing-begging.
But I think she's safe tonight.
