It's been 2 and a bit months since I lost my beloved Psycho, my other cats have been really quiet and we all miss him so much. Yesterday I made a big decision, I've got a kitten! She'll be with me in 7 weeks and I'm really happy, but at the same time it's sad because her arrival reinforces the fact that Psych has gone

She's a Siberian, a colourpoint seal tabby, and is very fluffy. I'd like to call her Sunshine, but I can imagine me shouting 'Suuunshyyyiiiine' in a Liam Gallagher style, so perhaps that's not a good idea

My o/h suggested cakeface but I don't think that's appropriate

Any thoughts on a name for my new furry friend?

There is nothing wrong with Sunshine. What better name to call a cat, they bring much sunshine into your life.
Cakeface is not the name of one of my cats but it is what I call her the most. She's just loves to eat cakes, fairy cakes are her favourite so it's my little nickname for her

How about Yoghurt? I gave my first cat that name and he was with me for 23 years.

We had 2 kitens some 10 years ago and because we lived next to the A53 Byepass I wanted to call them Wheel trim abd Exhaust pipe so when they eventually got run over my neighbours could say I've just seen your wheel trim on the byepass?????

This would not upset my young children as these are commonly used motoring terms......

Actually we called our beautifull black cats Giovanni and Gucci. None were killed on the byepass and Gucci is still alive today. Sadly I ran over Giovanni by accident as he used to sleep under my car and every day I miss him very much

I've got to admit I have a thing about calling my next cat 'Noodle'.. I don't know why but I just love the name.
I also have always wanted to have a white cat and call it 'Ambrosiuos'.

Isn`t it a hard decision - we`ve had our cat for over a week and couldn`t agree on a name, I wanted Marble because of his colour, Mum wanted a `he` name like Joe, Jack, etc and my brother wanted to call him `Fatcat`.

Anyway the home we got him from phoned yesterday to see if everything was alright and asked mum what have we called him - she just came out and said `Sam` so Sam he is

Not very original !
