Transfering items to dvd
Hi guys,
I know that this might be stupid question but it is something I have been wanting to ask for a long time,so here goes. It is possible to transfer a recorded film on the Humax onto a dvd, just thought I'd ask.

Most definetely yes
The easy way but the least flexible is to simply record the output using a dvd recorder. If it's an SD movie then yes it's not only possible but you can make a dvd that is entirelly lossless and depending on which software you use can also be very easy. This depends on the fact that SD broadcasts use the same video compression as DVD, namely mpeg2. The hdr allows you to transfer the mpeg2 data directly to a usb device. The simplest way is to use a programme like videoredo tvsuite which will allow you to edit the data (cutting out the ads for instance), and burn it to DVD complete with your own menus. (it's not free though) |

Another option is to transfer, via SCART, to an HDD PVR which also has DVD recording. Edit the film/programme or whatever and then transfer to DVD.
I do this with my Hummy to a Panny 768. ![]() Mikembe |
