Why is it that the ones intent on not taking the competition seriously are always the ones who talk about Strictly like it's as serious as a general election

I hate programs that give stupid time limits for things like Archaeology. Who cares if it takes weeks the show only needs to give a 'potted history'.

Strictly Come Dancing is an entertainment series using telephone votes so that the viewers can decide who stays and who leaves the programme each Saturday night.

The decision has been made by viewers to keep Ann Widdecombe and others as participants.

I do not know why some people in this thread are complaining about this. The telephone poll on Strictly Come Dancing is a democratic vote.

It is not the same as the democracy we live in because as we all know, in general elections you can't vote multiple times can you? I came across a posting (in a thread to this section of the forum) from TerryM22 for the first time this afternoon and was actually surprised to find another poster with a similar forum name.

TerryM22 seems to agree with me about Ann Widdecombe being in Strictly Come Dancing and I welcome that - just as I am glad when other posters agree with me.

No, I don't. She doesn't do anything on this show expect make a mockery of it. What's positive about keeping her on the show? She's ruining it and turning it into just another I'm a Celebrity/BB/X Factor where before it was interesting, watching someone learn a skill, see them try, see them improve, see how far someone can push themselves. She's just there to be silly and pitiful and the people voting for her are doing it for a laugh.

If it's not true why does it bother you? It wouldn't bother me if it wasn't true. The mods can quite easily check it so if it's not the truth it should be water off a duck's back. Keep in mind that the more Tom Cruise sues newspapers who claim he is gay, the more people think he actually is gay.

How do you know the reasons why a huge number of people are voting for two particular contestants? Do you not think that perhaps there are differing reasons why some people vote for participants in the programme?

I didn't say they weren't But I'm sorry, if people are allowed to express what they think and vote for who they want then am I not allowed to express my confusion at their choice? I can't help thinking that it's stupid and I should be allowed to express my opinion just as they can express their's.

The people who have left recently had good fanbases (or they would not have got this far) and those fans can now transfer their votes. Anne may get to the final, but she will not win.
