Release and Unlock,,,,,,nooooo
Some time back I created a folder for some items I wanted to keep, using "Lock" and "Protect". It turned out that their retention was not required.
I have tried to unlock and release, using the default code and a number of others based on personal data without success. Either I have been proceeding wrongly, or, having forgotten the codes, need to find another way to delete the folder and its contents. I hope without losing reservations or recordings on disk, Help please. |

First question would be does your four digit code work for other functions?

OK. So now we need to find out if the magic code is still in the default setting which is four zeros 0000. Pick a channel you never use and try to lock and unlock that. If that works then its just a sequence of selection problem. If the problem is the code has been changed by accident and now you do not know the number then I'm afraid I do not know how to help you further. Some other good folks may know the trick. But try the locking of a channel first and see if you get lucky!

You can reset the code via the hidden menu.
