She did look a bit menacing. I put it down to her over dramatising that part of the song.

She sounded like one of those bratty 12 year old council estate girls ....

I just wanted to clip her round the ear and wash off all that horrendous make up... She even left some of it on Paije.

Horrible, horrible little girl!

I think Cheryl's a bit scared of Cher...I mean after admitting that Cher reminds her of herself when she was younger, if she stopped favouring Cher, she might get a feeling of de ja vu every time she went into a toilet.

It was an ugly moment.

That or it's in the song and that's how it goes...

To be honest, she impressed me a second time with her transition from that angry singing back to the sweet singing of the 'staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay...' bit.

i'd say Cher doing stay is one of the best performances in any series of the show. agree completely with the comment above about that line really standing out from the rest - that's exactly how its supposed to be - deeply dark, emotional and powerful. and it doesn't take much to appreciate that the lyrics obviously mean a lot to her personally with regards her uncle's recent death, that emotion is almost certainly genuine and really comes across in her performances of it.

Bit of a shame she had to use it as a sing off song after she'd already done it a few weeks before mind... looks a touch rehashed and desperate rather than a moving tribute.
