How come in the Beatles theme week, cher did not sing a Beatles song?

she sang " IMAGINE" which is a John Lennons song and was written after the Beatles were finished...

I wanted her to sing 'Let It Be'

It would've been better than Paije's version

She wasn't the only one. To my knowledge (I fully admit I haven't googles it) Wagner sang Hippy Hippy Shake which was a song by the Swinging Blue Jeans not the Beatles.

It's a Beatles theme, it fits far better than most of the theme week songs done so far this year.

Louis only gets his rulebook out for Simon's acts. Plus, he doesn't want to upset The Nation's Sweetheart, the press would be out for his blood!

I agree. It really annoyed me that no one mentioned it on the show or the Xtra Factor. Why bother having theme weeks if they don't stick to the theme?

Regarding Wagner and the Hippy Hippy Shake, as pointed out above by someone else, at least the Beatles sang and recorded that song as a group, before the Swinging Blue Jeans if I remember correctly.
