This record was previously held by the spoiled little brat who "broke down" on Britain's Got Talent a couple of years back using the textbook method from the Marcia Blaine School for Drama of getting sympathy from an audience by pretending to cry.

About a quarter the way through "Stay" (again), Cher, realising that her voice was thin and warbly and the performance nowhere near as good as Paije, she started to "cry". This continued right through the song (with extra sad trembly bits at the right moments - remember the last time and the excuses she gave the emotion?) - but lo and behold, no actual real tears managed to squeeze their way through her thick black gloopy mascara.

Happily for her, Simon this week didn't come out with his "I have to judge this by the performances I've just seen" rule which he quotes when it suits him.

Nevermind. Cher might have some real tears later on when she realises that this was the point it became obvious she had no chance of winning.

Funny, all the "fans" Cher has on this forum... yet none of them vote for her. And none of them would bother to buy her records either.

The hype is over, the bubble is burst.

As much as she is not my favourite, you could clearly see how shocked she was to be in the bottom two. Perhaps it has taught her a lesson in humility and the pain of that is why she (almost) cried. Real crying would have made a right mess of her mascara.

Oh come on she had tears, its just that those spider lashes she had on caught them and held them...

It was the water proof mascara that done it...

None ofher fans on his for vote for her? oh yes i forgot that you were recieving all FM's phone bills
And i would buy her music and i also know many others who would. Cher didnt have as many votes as she previously had this week but that doesn't mean she had no votes, you can have 500,000 votes and be in the bottom 2 because someone else had 500,010 votes

That's it, look on the bright side.

"The sun'll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar..."

Or, maybe all you dedicated fans phoned up to vote so hard you brought her phone line down. That'll probably be it, eh? She got so many millions of people like you trying to vote for her that you overloaded the system.

Katie and Cher in the Final 2 next week then? Looking forward to it.

I'm sure she is liked by some people, but if she won and Simon wanted to launch her to the tween/teen market, based on what I hear when I go out with my friends/school etc. it would not work.

She is often refered to as 'Primark Cheryl', 'The-Girl-Who-Can-Not-Rap', 'Chair' , 'Miss Orginal' etc.

The gist of it is that, based on my 'findings', she ain't as popular as suspected

Grief counsellors on overtime?

Weird that you think Katie and Cher are suffering a misfortune. I'd say they've been very fortunate indeed to have been put through this competition without having deserved it.

In fact I'd say they are very lucky to be up on that stage, very lucky indeed. Wouldn't you?

Some people seem to have memory of a goldfish.... she's been a joke/chancer from the off. She was manifestly fragile and unstable from day 1. My view is that the show has consciously gone easy on her and showered her with unwarranted praise and plaudits each week becuase they knew she'd fall apart at mereist hint of truthful feedback. Luckily for her the bad attention's been on Waissel and Wagner - I can see how Cher might have interpreted past few weeks as an indication of popularity but it was no such thing.... she'd simply been overlooked and forgotten. Then blow me; some negativity and a sing-off berth and the hystrionics are switched back on. She's risible and ought to go soon - didn't even have the conviction to stick with her rapping/mash-up nonsense and tried to re-invent herself as some sort of sweet balladeer mid-series - desperate!

There seriously were tears. But, when anybody cries on any reality show, it's always fake

I think the poor girl actually believed all the crap from the judges, she seemed devastated to be in the bottom two. Simon seems to have some sort of vested interest in both Sher and Katie. But I don't think either of them are very good. How can they justify keeping a girl in that has been in the bottom two 4 times is beyond belief. I also believe it will be both girls up next week, Where will Simons allegiances be then. I think Katie.

This is turning into a crap show which runs to long,

Also Xtra Factor new format is a turn off.
I enjoyed the contestant being the main people on the show - why not this year?

Actually I'm not sure Katie deserves it ( previous record deal etc ) ,however in my opinion Cher does deserve it and ALL of them are lucky to be there

Sadly, she is a rank amateur compared to Gillian McKeech.

who cares.

If she was really crying then I could understand why. It might not mean much to me who wins. But it seems to, to her. Let's face it, she's just a kid. No matter how much of bitch she is, or isn't.
