Did you not just read what i wrote? or are you simply ignoring it. I am talking about me holding MY phone. The same way I have held every one of the previous iPhones I've owned.
The 2 posters who have had a go at you for your experiences don't even own iPhone 4s.

First translate most of what Soundburst and Vallhund say to 'Apple is my number one' and then work backwards.

It works for me.
First translate anything from you. This guy doesn't like Apple and knows zilch about their products.

Then all becomes clear.

Not had that problem with yours then?...oh wait you don't have one to know...you're doing that a lot lately.

FWIW I have a works one and I can make it do it but in my natural holding position it's not that bad.
Yes of course you would have to have a Windows 7 Phone to know that it is selling poorly.

What I did say was that several mobile phone manufacturers warn you against holding the phone improperly. Mind does too.

Why bring WP7 into this thread?

You suggested that I was making comments on things that I didn't own and I did mention in another thread that you needn't own an item to know that it wasn't selling well.

My comment about the iPhone 4 was that it suffered signal loss when you covered the antenna, like lots of phones including my Nokia E72.

Neither did everyone who talked about Antenna gate on DS

I'm just stating the facts.

Millions of iPhone 4's.

Millions of Users.

Millions of users holding iPhone 4's.

Thanks.

I think this proves that one can actually hold their iPhone 4 and use it.

I don't know what signal loss based on using the device and sales of WP7 have anything to do with each other.

And as I said in the other thread, sales have nothing to do with how good a product is. Using your logic, OSX is a "dud" because Windows is outsells it by quite a few times.

What percentage of those users, use it without the iPhone4 rubber band?

Because only those who do are relevant here (and that has de facto selection bias anyway) so basically you prove nothing.

Ooh another nice little dig there I see.

Doesn't prove I can hold my phone and use it. Well actually I can as I have had to change how I hold my phone. But I know that as I own one of these phones

To be honest it sounds like you had a faulty handset.

Either that or you were trying to practically crush it while holding it.

Or you were wearing some kind of metal shielded glove while using it.

No I genuinely hold it normally, I go to the gym but I'm certainly not that strong. Just holding it now in bed, if I hold it how I find comfortable I lose signal and data, I can hold it so it doesn't lose signal but it's not very comfortable. This is my issue that I have to hold a very expensive device in a way that doesn't suit me. Obviously within reason before people think I mean the wrong way round, upside down etc etc.

Maybe it's faulty although the guys at the genius bar wouldn't offer to change it. I have a bumper from the free program they did but it has scratched the metal band on my phone making it look bad

It's also a shame to have to cover your phone up. But yes with the bumper on I do not get signal issues holding it the comfortable way, but I have to ask why do I have to have a bumper on to make it work?

Do you think mine was also from the same faulty batch?
I don't seem to have the problem with the superior HTC handset.

Disputing bull had little to do with liking and disliking Apple. I'm not even very sure who likes Apple.
The thread had been well and truly derailed before I even bothered to make one comment.

Something to do with negative perceptions/facts that always get well and truly tackled?

Whether or not some people here have or have not experienced it, I think it's a fairly safe bet that Apple will re-jig the iPhone 5 to remove the "Death Grip".

Apple has already changed the antenna for the Verizon version of the iPhone 4, which apparently doesn't suffer from the same problems...

For the iPhone 5 itself, there is allegedly going to be a complete re-design, in addition to the usual upgrades.

Some rumoured features:

http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/14/e...-apple-tv-and/

http://www.macrumors.com/2011/01/14/...uture-devices/

- Apple "A5" system-on-a-chip, featuring a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU & a PowerVR SGX543 GPU [Same CPU as in the BlackBerry PlayBook & as in the Motorola Xoom's Tegra 2.]

Can't do much else with the screen (how do you go above "Retina"? lol), but logical changes IMO would be the usual ones such as increase the RAM (512MB in the iPhone 4), improve the camera, etc.

I do not think you can remove a 'Death Grip', given a size of the phones, they all suffer it. iPhone has/had an additional sensitivity on top of death grip.

I was reading those articles on twitter Matt, looks like the next iPhone will be a powerhouse if it comes true!

Maybe i'll be sticking with iPhones at this rate as i can't see much that will compete with it.

I wonder what time last year the iPhone 4 got "left" in a bar, as there seems to be a massive lack of leaks so far. Maybe its a bit early for all that

Maybe "retina HD" or "super retina"

Maybe 3D support for movies and games? I'm sure Apple are working on 3D without glasses.
