Is Wagner a Nasty Snide Or Geniune Nice Guy?
I have been reading about Wagner and some media say he is a nasty bit of work. All to do with his attitude in the X Factor house and his comments to reporters recently and his relationships in the past. But I just can't help liking him and fel the media just want to get him out as he is making a mockery of the show with his "dad at a wedding" performances.
Are the media out to ruin him like I feel or do others think that he is a perv or a liar? |

I think it's a fairly safe bet that these "stories" are originating at Simon's production company Talkback Thames.
They never expected that Wagner would get this far in the competition, and he made it clear in a recorded conversation before he was chosen as wildcard that he feels the same way about the show as many of us on here—that it's a fix and a talent competition in name only. He's not like Jedward who were happy go lucky lads along for the ride. Wagner is a man of the world who knows what's what and they don't like that at all because they're putting him on live television every week and he's a loose cannon. |

We don't know, because we don't know him. I find it shocking how easily people are swayed by the press. He may be a complete a***hole or he may be sweeter than Santa, we just don't know.

It's hard to believe any stories put out by the media, but we are beginning to see cracks in Wagner's relationship with other contestants, so maybe he is a rather difficult person to interact with.
Especially that comment about God being with him, what was that about?

As the man himself said - don't believe all you read in the media. Personally I loathe the guy's TV persona - every time I see him on TV I want to throw something at it. But as to whether he is a nice guy or not I have no idea - for all I know he may be a real sweetheart or a complete git. So as I do not know I would not slag him off as a person or call him names - as others have done with both Wagner and the other contestants. But maybe that is just me........

I take most things with a pinch of salt.
However, I would imagine Wagner was difficult to get along with in the House. There is a huge age gap with some of the younger ones and Wagner seems out of touch with what is going on in their world. Different for Mary as she has a daughter and will take on a motherly approach any way, I should imagine. That coupled with cultural and language differences doesn't make for an harmonious atmosphere. I get the feeling that Wagner may be a little resentful of Matt as he has more in common with others. Matt is a strong male and probably unwittingly taking on a mentoring role. Wagner could be resentful of this assuming that he would be the natural Alpha Male. Well it doesn't work like that. Pure speculation, of course, but my experience would point to a possible scenario. Wagner has a great knack of putting his foot into it. The comment about the Heroes/Soldiers was totally inappropriate. Almost like he was drawing parallels with them and it wasn''t right. You get to 54, living on your own, and no time or effort spared for others around you, unfortunately. Doesn't bode well for compatibility. |

I was shocked in either Sat/Sun Express and interview with Brian Friedman saying Wag had a big hygiene problem and hopeless at remembering lines/direction.
I can't imagine that not being vetted before it went out! As for original question it is probably abit of both. I certainly think he lied through his teeth when talking to Cheryl but he appears to me to be genuinely surprised he is still there and just wants to make some money out of it. |

All the stories the press have 'exposed' on him seem to be utter crap - or until we see this evil rapist side of him anyway.

The way he sucked upto Cheryl last Saturday was a pretty snide, I'd rather see them have a slagging off match =p

Dont trust the smiles. same with me....would not trust him as far as I could throw him. I always thought that the X Factor was a singing contest to find the best singer out of the survivors of Judge's houses..... silly me. The campaign to keep talentless Wagner in the X Factor is childish beyond reason and is spoiling the show. |

I bumped into him a few weeks ago in Covent Garden (very strange
)I quickly shook his hand as I was in a rush, but he appeared very approachable to me and others. |
