I vaguelly remember having this problem with the last update.
It did not appear to be a true representation of the actual backup status as it stayed on the same percentage for hours on end but then suddenly finished the backup in aboout 10 minutes.

Sorry for the delay... was busy last night.

If you go in to your photo album, click on a picture, then press the bottom left icon (the same one you use to email, MMS, or select to use as wallpaper) you will see that a new "print" option has appeared.

If you click on print, a new page will open where you're asked to select printer and number of copies.

Obviously you need a WiFi enabled printer to use this. I have a Lexmark Interact S605 at home, and it works perfectly.

Apologies... I actually tried it on my wife's HP Envy printer. No idea if it works on my Lexmark as yet.

I'm not seeing the airplay icon when playing music or watching video.

Now, logic would dictate that the icon only appears when in range of an airplay compatible device. Can anyone confirm if this is the case.

I've also not been able to work out the custom ringtone option yet. I can see there is a whole new list (all awful) but I thought I read in the t&c that you could create your own. I might have misread that or not understood it properly.

One more question. I'm assuming I can currently only stream from itunes or iphone4 to Apple TV. Is there any option to stream from itunes to iphone4 using the airplay feature?

It's not as integrated as AirPrint but you can print web pages and images through it. Not so cheap though.”

I've got a an ancient wired printer connected via USB and it prints on that fine. If you're having trouble - try http://geniusgeeks.com/2010/11/enabl...inthactivator/

You can only stream A/V to an AppleTV and stream audio to an Airport Extreme+AirTunes.

Thanks for the link. Needless to say my HP Photosmart isn't listed. And no doubt it'll take HP donkeys years to release an update.

Where do you get this information from????

Link below to the AppleTv official site, which clearly states I streams music:

Does anyone have the apple tv and iPhone with 4.2 and tried the airplay features?

You asked if you can stream from iTunes to the iPhone4

And it doesn't support that. You can play iTunes on your Apple TV though.

Is there any way to avoid this update? I guess not (don't fancy jailbreaking). The only plus point for me is the folders, and they come at the cost of buggering around with the volume/mute/orientation lock. I really like the existing setup with quick access to the orientation lock... imagine you are looking at a photo with the wrongly encoded orientation - at the moment it is dead easy to use the lock to view it properly, now they want to take it away.

It's still available. It's just a little harder to get to as i'ts now on the multi-tasking bar.

Strangely the switch was originally intended to be a mute switch but they changed it at the last moment to be the orientation lock.

Many USB outlets can only supply enough power to run the iPad when it's turned on.

When the iPad is in standby it charges it.
