Absolutely love Aretha Franklin's "Amazing Grace" album

Plus, all of Whitney or Mariah's gospel performances from the 90s.

Not a big lover of Gospel but,

Sister Rosetta Tharpe is just awesome.

How cool was it for a woman Gospel singer to play an electric guitar in the 40's

I don't know if she has anything recorded, but Fantasia's gospel performances are great.

Aretha and Whitney definitely. Not sold on Mariah as a gospel singer - too many ornamentations and acrobats without the raw expression.

Tramaine Hawkins - Changed.

Haha, that's amazing! Exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Thanks!

Oh yes, definitely. Seen a lot of her live Gospel performances on youtube. "His Eye is on the Sparrow" with COGIC is amazing, especially so considering her young age!

Her voice just blows me away. The best thing reality tv has produced. She should make a gospel album, as that's where her performances excel.

I'm into 'Gospel House' which is a contemporary twist on gospel-ok not truly contemporary becuase it has been around for 20 odd years.

Here's a link to a specialist site:

See what you think.

I remember Amen - People Of Love from '97 which I think fits the bill.
