After one that doesn't sound like a pneumatic(?) drill is being used in me kitchen.

I know I have one and don't use it much because of the horrendous racket it makes

liquidizers are noisey because they are chompiong stuff up. I don't think they make half as much noise when they are whizzing. I have a smoothie maker, basically a liquidizer and itrs noisey but then I do expect it to break up ice.

A seive and a wooden spoon.

I've just bought a Kitchenaid food processor for about 75 quid and it's really quiet. It does the same job as a liquidizer but also everything else as well.
