Ann 'Set to Win' 'As fans switch allegiance for fun once their favourite gets booted off'

'Sources say both are hauling in massive amounts of votes and ending up "in the first three" every week.'

Great news for Ann fans It looks like Fans of the other dancers are voting tactically and want some Widdi mania Christmas fun after their favourite goes.

You have no proof for that and logic would dictate the opposite - I doubt many Jimi fans want to keep her in.

So... Let's assume I'm a big Felicity and Vincent fan and my favourite - a lady slightly older than Ann but infinitely harder working and better at dancing - has just been booted off while gallumphing Ann remains in place. Should I vote for Ann or, er, pretty well anyone else?
Maybe she'll pick up some votes but I suspect the "novelty" proportion of the vote will remain pretty much the same while the "genuinely talented/making a real effort" votes will stay with contestants who are genuinely talented/making a real effort.

So...they're speculating that she's third in the vote, as speculated before.

Even if she's first in the vote, she'll still go at the semi.

I think this is unlikely. I cannot see people switching to Ann.

Absolutely and I'd be very surprised if Felicity's fans would do so.

Once Jimi went my votes have been shared betweenPatsy and Gavin and if - God forbid - they go before Ann I'll be voting for one of the top 3; probably Kara.

Now that Felicity has gone my vote will be going to Kara

If they bring back the Judges vote for the last few remaining competitors that would certainly see her off. I wouldn't put anything past the GBP, if they are voting for her now what is to stop them?

if my favourite gets booted out and Ann is still in, I definately wont be voting for her!

At last I've managed to find the link to The Sun's article today,

Well as i was voting for Jimi and Flavia and they got booted out when a certain non-dancing person stayed in, the last thing I would do is vote for Ann. I even asked who was the best person to vote or tactically to keep Ann out.

I think tactical voting is dangerous. Best to vote for your favourite or not at all......

Join me and vote Kara!

As someone elsewhere pointed out, the "best male" vote might get split between Scott and Matt

Kara does have that advantage. There aren't two younger agile ladies left......

The Sun has no way of knowing who has switched their votes to whom or indeed if the supporters of departing celebs bother voting again.

Just another frightening tale from the Brothers Grimm.

I'm not sure who you are trying to convince with all these 'Ann will win' posts. Perhaps yourself, because you have backed her to win and are getting worried that you have backed a 'donkey'. Just how much have you bet on Ann to win? Going by the number of ramping posts you make, it must be quite a bit. No happy Christmas for you, methinks.

Extremely unlikely, I would have thought..for the reasons others have given.
It's much more likely that the "ABA" (anyone but Ann) vote will increase as more contestants drop out. The same applies to X-Factor..though there is a stronger case to be made for Wagner, simply because a lot of people would like embarrass Simon..who is really laughing all the way to the bank whoever wins.

I was annoyed enough when Jimi got voted off, and my votes transferred to extra votes for my other favourites, as will happen again when some of them are voted off. If the final ends up being Ann plus 2 others I don't like, I'll happily vote for the others to help ensure she doesn't win!

That's how my voting has changed, I now vote for my fave (Kara) and then cast 2 additional votes in the vain hope of keeping in people who are actually making an effort to learn to dance Those additional votes change according to the order of the leaderboard.

At THIS stage, most voters are voting for Dancers - so IMHO unlikely to transfer their votes to the Bosom of Doom, when and if their first choices are eliminated.

As pointed out before, with the double elimination in the Semi's, as long as Ann is last with the judges during that week then she'll probably be out. Unless she get's the most votes, but that's unlikely. The article said 'In the top 3' and if they were top, they'd tell us.

How many couples will dance in the double-elimination round?

If fanatical Ann voters achieve the following then Ann will be through to the Final even though 3rd top on phone vote (ahead of couple C). The voting has been so extraordinary that nothing will surprise me now. As has been pointed out, we may have 2 million new viewers this year from X Factor, with different viewing and voting traditions.

A ---- 5 from judges + 5 from phones
B ---- 4 from judges + 4 from phones
C ---- 3 from judges + 1 from phones

D ---- 2 from judges + 2 from phones
Ann - 1 from judges + 3 from phones (3rd top as per the Sun)

I certainly still have favourites (Patsy, Gavin and Kara)in the competition, but should they go I would never vote for the BoD, just as I didn't when Jimi and then Michelle went. In fact her continued presence is more likely to make me vote against her if none of the above are still in - in fact there isn't anyone else who has been in the competition who I wouldn't vote for in an ABA vote - even () Paul Daniels - never thought I would say that!
