Look at the paper which carries the story. The Sun, who do all they can to prop up ITV / Cowell / X-Factor. It's a made-up story to discredit the BBC.

Hmm..I would never do that. Surely people would be angry their favourites lesft because of Ann?

The voting has been so extraordinary that nothing will surprise me now. As has been pointed out, we may have 2 million new viewers this year from X Factor, with different viewing and voting traditions.

A ---- 5 from judges + 5 from phones
B ---- 4 from judges + 4 from phones
C ---- 3 from judges + 1 from phones

D ---- 2 from judges + 2 from phones
Ann - 1 from judges + 3 from phones (3rd top as per the Sun)”

Another interesting scenario is the possibility many fanatical Ann fans haven't even started voting yet, but now she is within touching distance they will all be phoning in their votes to make sure she gets into the final.

Fanatical Ann fans??? Do they exist???

I would think they are already voting. IF Ann goes out, I doubt if Ann voters will transfer their votes, because they have no interest in dance.

Remember though - just to confuse matters - SOME of the voting public will vote - NOT for Ann but AGAINST the BBC.

Wait, let me get it straight in my mind. When they add the judges score and the voting scores together, unless the scores of the two couples in the bottom two are tied, it's just who has the least points that leaves right? And it's only when the two at the bottom after the adding of the two are joined is tied that it goes to who got more public votes, right? In which case, I can't see Ann making the final. She'll be bottom of the leader board until the end of time and even if she comes first in the vote, if there's a tie between 2nd and 3rd on the leaderboard that night and 1st place on the judges leaderboard doesn't come last in the public vote, Ann's out. So it is possible. Let's hope it goes this way.

if Kara got voted out before Ann I wouldn't watch again, let alone vote!

You are such a big fan of Ann, but so far I haven't seen why. Do you REALLY think she's entertaining, are you one of those protesting against the established fanbase of SCD; or do you have a bet on her winning?

Terry is agin the majority on principle. If we all suddenly switch to supporting Ann, then Terry will even more suddenly oppose her.

After adding judges points and phone vote points it is a trillion to one against 2 candidates being tied (e.g. 2 candidate tied on 3 points from judges, then both receiving exactly 873,961 phone calls).

Candidate A with aggregate 6 (3 from judges plus 3 from phones) is regarded as losing to candidate B with aggregate 6 (2 from judges plus 4 from phones) -- in case of tying on aggregate the higher phone vote recipient wins.

Let me remind people that you must be able to save your favourite in the public vote. Otherwise OFCOM will be all over the BBC.

Shame, the BBC could have engineered a four way tie to oust Anne!

That's true, but anyone finishing bottom with the judges when it's down to the last 4 or 5 needs to finish top in the public vote to escape. Anything less is either very iffy or fatal.

Nah. This is make or break for me, too.

If Kara goes before Ann, the BBC and their 'flagship show' can go screw.

The judges give the impression of colluding but I don't think they will be able to get away with that.

Whe push comes to shove the lure of the final and Christmas show is very likely to pull every wavering Strictly Come Dancing fan back in.

I didn't watch last year's Christmas special because I was so disgusted at the Hollins beating Ricky in the final. I decided to give Strictly another chance this year, hoping all would be right with the world and the best dancer would win this year. If that doesn't happen this time, I'm out for good.

These stories in the Sun are also being pushed by the company that handles Anton's PR.....they are always tweeting about giving stories to the Sun about this and that. Ofcourse he didnt need a PR company until this year after last years slight unpleasantness.

Surely not - I'm shocked.

Next thing, you'll be telling us that some FMs are artificially creating and resurrecting threads just to create stories for PR purposes.

'Sources say both are hauling in massive amounts of votes and ending up "in the first three" every week.'

Great news for Ann fans It looks like Fans of the other dancers are voting tactically and want some Widdi mania Christmas fun after their favourite goes.

Seriously who is laughing at this. My eyeballs are hurting from watching her pathetic excuse for dancing. If she was in any way a likeable character I could understand it but she is sure she is in the final and only if Anton's back gives out from dragging her around will we get rid. Any talent show becomes a travesty when people as bad as her get through at the expense of others that try. xxxx entertainment 2 weeks was all she entertained me after that bye. If you support the show she should be gone.

Good afternoon Terry. Good to know that you are still supporting Ann and getting your threads on page one.

I didn't watch last years Christmas show for exactly the same reason.

I gave this years show one last chance as I hate to be a quitter and because I am almost housebound at the moment so have to keep myself amused. But if Ann wins then that will be it for me. I won't have the will to watch it anymore.

I really stopped watching every week after Austin was dumped

Last year I watched sporadically but this year I have enjoyed the line up so have been watching again- no more if any of the two 4 go before Ann I am afraid.

I have to hope that even the beeb have some idea that they will eventually alienate the real audience if it carries on....
