I guess he has to get a tour in before he begins to flop and gets dropped.

On top of my last post, I just seen he's playing some relatively large venues. Some big acts haven't been able to sell these out recently! I wonder how he's going to do with them... after just 2 singles.

I find his success so strange. He doesn't seem likeable at all (rather slimy, even), can't dance and looks like someone who really needs a good wash.

Why is SyCo so desperate to have him be a star?

I still can't figure out who on earth this guy appeals to or why!

The X-Factor lot buy into it all. He'll have a fickle fan base from the show who will buy his stuff.

This is why he won't be around for long, because they'll soon move on like they always do.

*Yeah totally! OMG He's had one single he's like Madonna. .

We'll see how well his album and singles do. Syco will soon get bored. He always does. He's certainly not going to be in the top #2 because JLS and Take That's continued album sales will see to that and #3 and below is hardly better than Joe

*Not taking the mick out of you, more the people on YouTune which are just hilarious.

Anyway if he does well good for him.

Joe's album didn't do well. 3 weeks in the top 40. Joe will be just another failed X-Factor memory in a few years, as will Olly.

As others have said I find it odd that he's getting a tour so soon. He hasn't released an album yet, they have no way of knowing if it's going to do worse, better or the same as Joe's. So why assume it's going to go well enough for a tour, when clearly they don't seem to think Joe's success deserves one (unless his is announced soon which I doubt).

Hoping for the best or what. I imagine Epic have something to do with this, I can't see Syco willing to risk money away.

Olly has a joint deal with Syco and Epic. Epic are very aggressive at marketing their acts, so I would imagine the drive behind Olly's campaign is more down to them than Simon Cowell.

Someone made a good point yesterday about Olly and the fact that he got a joint record deal with Epic and how it shows that there was an outside interest in him and not just a case of Simon Cowell trying to stick it to anyone. The dudes got fans and we'll support him.

+ So have I.

It's just everyones taking the time to slate him, when actually the OP was asking if anyone else is going.

I'm not interested in this guy at all but why shouldn't he go on tour? If anything I admire him - and his PR people - more for it, as it gives him a chance to prove himself as a live act. Plus if he has fans, why not go on tour so they can see him live? Even if its only small venues, its an important thing for an artist to do IMO.

Nothing saying he shouldn't go on tour, he should, just surprising that after 1 single money tight Cowell assumes his album is going to sell enough to even warrant a tour. I'll be surprised if it doesn't, but theres nothing to say it will do any better, worse or the same as McElderry's (who although one is planned, hasn't had an offical anouncement yet, so could not happen all together). But as said above this will be Epic more than Syco, Syco just wouldn't risk it.
