Interesting factoid: ITV2 has beaten Five in all day 16-34 share now for Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday of this week.

EDIT: E4 has also achieved this feat.

Poor figures. Less than the live coverage in the small hours.

Makes me think the so called cricket lovers who believe it should be FTA are really just Sky haters and aren't genuine fans.

Not sure if it's been posted here yet but the BBC News Channel boss has blogged on a record year for the channel,

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditor...ence_figu.html

Meanwhile according to Sky staff on Twitter new programming on Sky News in January when Adam Boulton and Sarah Hughes will front 'Boulton and Co.' each weekday at 1pm.

Part of the introduction of a new multi-media studio in Westminster, Broadcast previously reported than Sky hoped to move some shows from Sky HQ to Millbank.

If they got the former BBC reporter Robert Fox to present they could call it ''Fox and Friends''

what is the differnce between "SUNRISE WITH MARK LONGHURST" and "SUNRISE WITH EAMONN HOLMES" as the two shows have similar ratings, shouldnt the "big" name Eammon Holmes show be doing better?

One is weekday, one is weekend. I think it's harder to compare those.

Persumably as Mark Longhurst is on at the weekend and more people are at home and its on an hour later than Eamonn Holmes show.

Not good news for Colin Brazier, effectively cutting his shifts in half, unless he's moving to a different slot.

I reckon Sky are clutching at straws a bit here. I don't believe there's enough demand for such a show on weekday lunchtimes. The Sky News Today format is solid enough to run all day from 9pm to 5pm with different presenters, why not do that? Keep it simple and news-focussed, that's what I say. Works for the BBC.

Christmas Eve
- hard to tell with BBC1 schedule whether it'll change a lot, because BBC News is on from 7:40pm to 8:00pm - the News is also on at 10pm. Think this will change.
At one point the Sunday news was 1935 and 2200 so while close together, I wouldn't rule it out

Thursday 23rd December
- My Family down for 8pm on BBC1 with The Nativity at 9pm and The Impressions Show at 9:30pm. I suspect The Nativity will move to 10pm with HIGNFY and LATA in the 9pm hour (10pm for Impressions?). My Family at 8pm seems plausible though.
I wouldn't rule out a normal BBC News at Ten since its a normal weekday for many

Typical viewer will probably be some thick bint who cried when Jade Goody died, sees Jordan as a good role model for young women and whose highlight of the week is going commando to the local nightclub.

Doesn't Adam do enough for Sky News without him needing a five day a week show and a three hour Sunday show plus he's always around when anything political happens.

Not on Tuesday, C5 was ahead. Also worth noting the ITV2 figure includes +1. Not too surprising this anyway, it does happen quite a bit. The 16-34 shares for C5 tend to fluctuate a lot depending on what's on. They are more stable for the likes of E4 and ITV2 because they cater more specifically for that demo.

I must say though that was a bad rating for Home and Away last night. I think Channel 5 messed up by playing trailers for this week's storylines last week. I don't know how that happened, but the Penn storyline is really heating up this week and it should be doing better numbers.

A bit of an uninformed comment since the ABC1 reach of ITV2 exceeds BBC4 most nights.

Some people like to look down their nose at so called "trash tv" but a large number of people like a mix of serious stuff & fluff.

I think he is effectively curtailing himself to daytime hours now but Jon Craig & Joey Jones appearing more outside of the 9-5 hours (unless there is a really big story breaking)
