Kate & Dan are going down far better than Adrian & Christine and when they present it is more reminiscent of GMTV which they're clearly aiming for. So I expect Adrian to quit first and concentrate on the football whilst Christine could stick around for a while but if not will just present whatever else ITV give her. ITV wanted her to initially replace Fiona Phillips but eventually opted for Emma Crosby. Christine comes out of that article a lot better- I can't make up my mind whether I think she'll quit or not but if she does I expect she'll be first on the list to cover Holly on This Morning. I bet ITV are kicking themselves for not going with the original plan of GMTV with Eamonn Holmes & Kate Thornton/Ruth Langsford.”
Obviously your view sheds far more light on it than the views of Chiles and Bleakley, who have reaffirmed their commitment to the show. I think what happens after Christmas is key as there is bound to be a noticeable "refresh" to try and address the main issues. I still think the biggest problem Daybreak has is it still employs Kate Garraway myself - I'm sure they only let her stand in for Christine to remind viewers how bad things used to be!

I don't think the 700~ figure included C4+1, so probably not quite as bad as we thought first. As a long term fan though must say wasn't as enthused about this series in the run up to it (indeed almost forgot it on Friday!) as I have been in the past, but it is great to see one comedy at least sticking around for the long haul, rather than doing two or three series then signing off under the pretence it's so good they couldn't possibly do any more.
I believe series 8 of Peep Show is already commissioned - but I'd say they should call it a day after that.

I'm wondering should Wagner make it to the final who on earth would be willing to duet with him?

To be fair it usually switches for bigger games (and the main MOTD team sometimes presenter). Notice MOTD2 is back at 10.30pm this season having moved to 10pm IIRC last year.

Also what are the demos for the two Aussie soaps as it would be interesting to see how many of the audience are teens or people who were teens when they were huge successes in 1988-89.”
Would be interesting to see the Hollyoaks 16-34 figure now as before the slump last year it was beating Emmerdale in that regard with IIRC 0.9m to 0.8m.

I think Dancing on Ice is set for a bit of a shake up with at least one new judge and a host of new pros - plus a new set, so it could recover slightly on this year.
Britain's Got Talent - it's all down to them getting the judges right. I think with Piers gone and Simon out of the auditions it would be easier to sell with a complete new judging panel rather than two new judges joining Amanda - and I think Simon should abandon his plans to return for the live week to give the new judges a chance. It is somewhat undermining them if he returns at the live stage (though it might be best not to make that decision until they see whether the show needs him ratings wise after the first few weeks of auditions).
