Yesterday's daytime ratings (some v. good ratings especially for BBC1):
BBC1 (inc. HD)
09:15- Rip Off Britain: 2.08m (28.9%)
10:00- Homes Under the Hammer: 1.97m (27.1%)

ITV1 (exc. HD)
09:25- The Jeremy Kyle Show: 1.60m (22.1%)
10:30- This Morning: 1.47m (19.8%)
12:30- Loose Women: 1.45m (15.1%)
14:00- House Gift: 1.33m (13.7%)
17:00- The Alan Tichmarsh Show: 2.31m (13%)
Overall between 06:00-15:00, BBC1 Daytime averaged 2.19m (30.2%).
Overall between 06:00-15:00, ITV1 Daytime (exc. HD) averaged 1.31m (18.0%).
If we were to break the 06:00-15:00 averages down into the different age ranges:
All:... BBC1- 2.19m (30.2%)... ITV1- 1.31m (18.0%)
C4-15:. BBC1- 63k (7.8%) .... ITV1- 66k (8.2%)
A16-34: BBC1- 218k (17.0%)... ITV1- 231k (18.0%)
A35-44: BBC1- 244k (24.4%)... ITV1- 193k (19.3%)
A45-54: BBC1- 334k (29.6%)... ITV1- 279k (24.7%)
A55-64: BBC1- 475k (38.9%)... ITV1- 220k (18.0%)
A65+:.. BBC1- 860k (47.0%)... ITV1- 321k (17.5%)
Only went up to 15:00 because from 15:00 BBC1 was airing CBBC which would distort the averages unfairly.
I know GeorgeS keeps saying that BBC1's daytime lineup is aimed at old people, and although it's true BBC1 did really well with 65+, BBC1 still managed to beat ITV1 among viewers aged between 4 to 44 overall, almost beating them in the A16-34 demo. Dunno if it's like this every day (as the younger casual viewers who don't usually watch daytime TV might've watched BBC1 yesterday) but I thought it was worth noting.

However, even though the new look Tyne Tees Border bulletin only has a 15 minute Border opt out and has become even worse to watch, there's still this residual loyalty to Deekaboot. It tends to do better among older viewers, as does ITV1 in general here, who have watched it for decades.”
Thanks for the explanation
