W. T. Actual. F (God bless you whoever made that one up) are ITV playing it? They have X Factor semi final and IAC final and they don't use that Corrie trailer? Idiots.
So I can see why ITV won't have wanted to air any "Corrie Does Casualty" trailers tonight. The excitement on here caused by "the trailer" is bewildering - is it really a thing of such beauty?

Interesting to see if this has any effect on HD ratings, although admittedly we don't get the exact HD ratings for Sky channels anyway. From February 1st Sky will swap around the HD and SD channel numbers for HD customers.
So if you have a HD box Sky1HD will be on channel 106 and Sky1 on 170. There are some exceptions that will allow broadcasters to opt out of the swap. More here in section 3.4, http://corporate.sky.com/documents/p...g_listings_EPG Another small piece of Sky related news, with the launch of his new weekday show in the New Year, Adam Boulton will no longer present Sunday Live on Sky News. |

According to DS Emmerdale and EE both got 7.87m last night. Is this more dodgy reporting on their behalf or was the info posted here wrong?

I thought it was absolutely crazy that ITV didn't promote Corrie during XF and I'm A Celeb... instead they showed the advert after I'm A Celeb finished when all the viewers are drifting away... nice one
I'm hoping that they will use the X Factor result show tomorrow to promote the ad at least. Using the trailer would be even better though... it looks like a proper Hollywood movie trailer and would capture the minds of up to 16m viewers. |

2000 * 8.67 2005 * 9.30 2010 * 9.50 2015 * 9.60 2020 * 9.63 2025 * 8.81 It definitely averaged 9.25m between 8-8.30pm. The episode ran in its full slot with no early start so the 7.87m reported in the DS article is definitely wrong. |

Must be a typo from the DS reporter. Here's the breakdown for EE:
2000 * 8.67 2005 * 9.30 2010 * 9.50 2015 * 9.60 2020 * 9.63 2025 * 8.81 It definitely averaged 9.25m between 8-8.30pm. The episode ran in its full slot with no early start so the 7.87m reported in the DS article is definitely wrong. Bring back Kris Green!

Maybe if PJ Millar happens to be reading this thread he can edit the article but it's not a big deal really.

Thanks. I did think it was strange as DS also have the shares down as being exactly the same.

Another issue I noticed with the DS soap reports this week is it said Wednesday's and then Thursday's episodes of Doctors were the highest rated for 2 years, when in fact they weren’t. Doctors has averaged higher overnights than the Thursday just gone rating of 2.12m (20.9%) eight times this year already. The most recent instance being February 8th with 2.15m (25.8%) and the highest instance this year being 2.70m on January 6th. To be fair that’s me being a bit picky and obviously this week’s ratings of over 2 million are still very high by the soap’s own standards.

Hey, wow that's what I call good service
![]() I am an avid reader of the soap ratings roundups. Great, I apologise for not being punctual this week - was away for some of it.Next week it's all about Corrie, ratings should be going through the roof with the special episodes. Sorry also about the Doctors mess-up - it wasn't mentioned on the spreadsheet I have - I'll be sure to double check these things in future

I hope the 2011 break doesn't lose it any momentum. Great night for ITV, X Factor will be near to 14 million including HD while I'm a Celebrity will be near to 12.5m. The peak for X Factor will probably be near to 16 million, so superb ratings for both! EDIT: Thanks for confirming the ITV1 HD figures dubsj.

Dubsj do you know how Casualty, Armstrong & Miller rated yesterday on BBC1? And how TV Burp rated on ITV1HD?

Casualty 4.3m / 15.4%
Armstrong and Miller 2.2m / 8.1% Afraid Burp did not score in the Top Ratings list for HD. |

So with both series over... Merlin (series 3) averaged 5.75m in the overnights, which was an increase of +0.51m (+10%) from last year's series. I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here (series 10) averaged 9.4m (36%) in the overnights, which was an increase of +0.83m (+10%) from last year's series and consequently its best rated series since early 2004. ![]() Didn't think BBC1 would fall that low against Celebrity. I fear for Wipeout in particular next week. dubsj, do you have the rating for Buble, which was on at 22:25 after Celebrity? I suspect it scored quite well.

That would be foolish - not all the afternoon viewers would move to the evening,

and then C5 having to shell out for something to replace it in the afternoon. Indeed I suspect the afternoon showing is basically free for C5
The other option is to keep showing Trisha once Vanessa Feltz new show starts. Thats would be an extra hour of cheap daytime TV for Five which would more than compensate for axing the daytime Home and Away |

at SCD getting 12m, 45% average and a 13.4m peak!![]() It was a superb show last night. I'm no big fan, but I thought it was brilliantly entertaining, looked fantastic (particularly some of the outfits!) and Bruce was on top form too. To peak so close to what the TXF semi-final got, in an early evening slot, against much stronger competition than TXF has, is amazing and I really think we could see something special for the SCD Final on the 18th. And that Merlin performance is absolutely sensational too. A 7.2m peak against the TXF semi final! What a shame they didn't start it a week later so it could have finished next Saturday (assuming George D wouldn't have bottled it). Casualty did ok despite the onslaught, A&M no great surprise - only down slightly but from a dismally low base - and IAC only getting a slightly better figure for its 60 minute final than it got for the 90 minute opening episode. |

Did you miss last Saturday's overnights?
It's basically the same as last week! This week it had 2.2m (8%) with no X Factor overlap. Don't say that's 'basically the same'. |
