Having bought The Sun today for the Xmas TV pullout (yes, I'm that sad ) I can add a few bits to this:

Tuesday 21st December
- ITV1 has something called March of The Dinosaurs at 9pm. Don't know what it is exactly but it's described as an 'adventure from the makers of Walking With Dinosaurs'.

Thursday 23rd December
- My Family down for 8pm on BBC1 with The Nativity at 9pm and The Impressions Show at 9:30pm. I suspect The Nativity will move to 10pm with HIGNFY and LATA in the 9pm hour (10pm for Impressions?). My Family at 8pm seems plausible though.
- I believe that Millionaire Live has already been confirmed for 9pm on ITV1 but it isn't on here yet.

Christmas Eve
- Come Rain Come Shine down for 9pm. Paul O'Grady has already been confirmed for this slot though so this will change (POG is down for 27th so it may be a straight swap).

Christmas Day
- Wall-E down for 15:10 on BBC1 with Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix on ITV1 at the same time. ITV will change as OOTP isn't suitable for 3:10pm so I suspect it'll be an earlier Potter or The Mummy which is down for Boxing Day atm.
- The One Ronnie down for 8pm - this will probably change and I'm not sure if this will get an Xmas Day slot at all.

Boxing Day
- BBC1 has Indiana Jones and Rock and Chips which seems reasonable but Indiana Jones is down for 3pm so that will obviously change. Upstairs Downstairs missing too so I suspect Rock and Chips may move to 8pm.
- The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor and TV Burp Xmas Specialdown for 6:25pm and 8:30pm on ITV1, although I reckon The Mummy could move to Xmas Day at 3:10pm.

Monday 27th December
- Just William down for 8;30pm on BBC1 - I thought this was for teatime and 4x30 minute episodes?
- Paul O'Grady down for 9pm on ITV1 - I suspect this will swap with Come Rain Come Shine.

Tuesday 28th December
- Millionaire down for 8pm, but it's already been confirmed for the 23rd. Mr and Mrs for this slot maybe?
- Come Fly With Me down for 9pm on BBC1 with TBA at 9:30pm

Wednesday 29th December
- BBC1 has an hour long Jimmy's Food Factory at 8pm with TBA at 9pm (Toast?).

Thursday 30th December
- Strictly down for 8pm on BBC1 which obviously won't happen. They then have TBA at 9pm.
- ITV1 has Ad of The Decade at 9pm.

New Year's Eve
- TV Burp Review of The Year down for an hour at 6pm on ITV1. Are they doing separate Xmas and Review of The Year editions this year? Either way I can't see it staying in that slot.
- Upstairs Downstairs down for 8:30pm on BBC1 which is a load of crap, I suspect they'll just air a repeat there.
- Atonement is down for 9pm on ITV1.

Also, a variety of movies are down for afternoon slots on BBC1, and I suspect they'll all change (slots at least if not days):

- Bee Movie: Tuesday 21st, 3:45pm
- Cars: Wednesday 22nd, 2:45pm
- The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: Thursday 23rd, 1:45pm
- Shrek The Third: Monday 27th, 3:15pm
- Ratatouille: New Year's Eve, 3:15pm

Those will all get better slots in the real schedules.

So ITV1's Octavia stays on the shelf for another year, then?

Looks like it yeah, although it could air on Sunday 19th. I'm beginning to wonder if they'll ever air it thouhg as it's been on the shelf for ages (it was filmed in 2007!) - it must be one hell of a stinker!

Ratatouille makes an appearance 1 year later than expected. Good news! The BBC is spoiling us in the films department this year.

The thing it wasn't in the press pack but it keeps getting mentioned. I think it may end up on New Year's Day which would explain why it isn't in the press pack.

Important thing to remember this year is that New Years Day isnt included in the BBC press pack so there will be a couple of extra specials not yet announced.


Just awful competiton. Total Wipeout will be lucky to get over 2m IMO.

Yeah I'm sure 95% of it will be wrong but it's the only rough information we've got at the moment so I thought it was worth posting as something of a teaser guide anyway.

Yeah New Year's Day not being included means that one or two things will be missed off. People in the Christmas TV thread seemed to think there would be a Comedy Roadshow episode which will probably pop up there along with Ratatouille and possibly another Come Fly With Me.

Primeval is apparently returning on NYD on ITV, so I suspect they'll go with that, Take Me Out and a movie as they'll have access to more 2008 titles (The Dark Knight, Mamma Mia etc).

And that Wipeout repeat will do abysmally. Surely they could have found something new to air there?

This is a National Geography programme. ITV must've bought it on the cheap like River Monsters.

As for Order of the Phoenix, what bits are actually unsuitable for the slot? Can't they cut those bits out?

Well at least they've bought something decent to use as cheap filler as opposed to commissioning some crap dieting show or something.

As for OOTP, I believe ITV were advised not to air the Potters from Goblet onwards before 7pm uncut as they are too dark. Cutting OOTP wouldn't work as the bits they'd need to cut are pretty vital to the plot (the snake attack and the ending at a guess) so they'd ruin the film by doing that. As they've only shown it once I think it may get a primetime outing as it could get 4-5m (Goblet of Fire did for it's second and third outings). Plus it's down for 2 hours even though it's 2.5 hours with ads so I doubt it'll air there. It isn't really a Christmas Day afternoon film either as it's quite dark, but I think they could show The Mummy premiere in that slot.

An OK start to The Ashes for Nine. Boosted their news, scoring a rare win over Seven at 6pm. Low for the Beauty and the Geek finale - it rated better than that a few weeks ago for a normal episode.

There will be an hour of DIY SOS on BBC1 at 8pm on the 23rd, followed by another two of them on the 6th and 19th of January 2011.

And with just short of two months to go, I can confirm that the next series of Top Gear, excluding the Xmas show which will transmit over Xmas, surprisingly enough, will run for 6 Sundays from the 23rd January 2011. The studio dates have just been confirmed...

The Sun TV listings are hilarous - I swear they could have just got any one of us to draft up a fantasy schedule in about an hour and it would be more accurate than that. (Mind you, I've still been desperate all day to see them!)

I'm interested to see what winds up on New Years Day - almost everything we've seen so far seems destined for Christmas itself, but if there was anything of much siginficance for NYD, we'd surely of heard about it by now.

I would have thought the cricket would have got a bigger audience than that as we are always told the Ozzies are a cricket-mad nation

Would have expected more for Corrie sandwiched between IAC. We're now in the build up to its 50th and figures of 11m should now be commonplace as they were for EE in the earlier part of this year.

EE held up surprisingly well against the IAC and Emmerdale onslaught. No doubt a certain someone will be along in a minute to point out it was x million down on the previous episode without mentioning why. I'm not sure its ITV counterparts would hold up quite so well against such an onslaught.

It will be higher when the HD figures are added.

Thursdays generally rate quite poorly and it was out of its regular slot.

Soap clashes last night?

ITV obviously came off better during last nights clashes, because they had a similar 'block' to last week, but EE did well to increase on last Thursday. I suspect it increased once the soap clash ended. It still amazes me how Emmerdale is coming out hardly dented at all by these clashes. I know it has the head start, but I still expect it to be sub 7m, and those figures above don't even include HD.

IAC's first episode will be lower than last weeks and the 2nd episode will be higher, probably averaging out to a similar figure as last Thursday. I actually think Corrie did quite well to manage ~9m in an unfamiliar 9pm slot. The 9pm slot is much tougher than the 7/8pm slot for soaps, because there's a lot more competition normally.
