That 'Fairy Tale Of New York xmas no1 campaign is fast picking up momentum!
If you click here you can see that the group has nearly 4k! That's pretty good considering no media attention or anything! I have a feeling they could do this!
It would be such a lovely tribute to Kirsty and the Pogues seeing as they're doing a farewell tour this Christmas FAIRY TALE OF NEW YORK FOR CHRISTMAS NO.1 IN 2010!

I don't like the song and i find these compaigns a bit stupid. Trying to stop Simon getting to number 1 buy mass amounts of people buying a single just to stop that is just wierd.
Honetsly, the winners single will only climb to number 1 the next week making the whole thing pointless. Sorry. |

sick of this song year after year getting played. its crap. let it disapear(which it unfortunatly wont)

Loved the RATM campaign, because it was a relatively unknown song for a UK audience, and a complete shot in the arm for a pretty sterile pop chart.
Fairytale of New York is already well-known and gets regular airplay at Christmas. I hope that a different campaign comes along with something a bit more imaginative and different in mind. |
