I can understand Britt as she is older but why on earth Alison.

All these exclusions are so unfair on the others

Well, it does involve suspended platforms, and she isn't exactly light is she?

Think you're right it will be weight related.

then the trials should be created so that everyone can take part.

Reminds me of Biggins who was excluded from so many trials yet went on to win.

so unfair!!

It's her weight, she must weight about 22-24 stone i would say, too much for the suspension rails.

Because she's morbidly obese.

She shouldn't be in there then, if it is because she is obese (and I think that's why she's excluded)

Unfair would be stopping everybody else just because one is too heavy. We always had to do rubbish non energetic team days at work because one person was past retirement age yet ninety percent were under thirty.

Weight, Age, gender or sexuality does not exclude someone from taking part in the show. If it did then all the contestants would be young and exceptionally athletic and fit...bit like the American I'm a Celeb.

Sorry I didnt see the thread already, the older tend to get a free ride a lot of the time in this generally

Surely she can't weigh more than Dom or Shaun, who are quite large men. I don't think she is 24 stone, looks more like about 17/18 to me. I had an aunt who was 24 stone and she was far bigger than Alison.

I quite agree. The words 'level playing field' spring to mind. Either adapt the trials so all can compete, or select celebs of similar ability.

Alison's very tall, she's about 5ft 10 or 11 and I'm pretty sure she admitted to being 21 stone in her magazine column earlier this year.

There seems to be more contestants excluded from trials each year. Was never like this in the early days

In the first few series though, weren't all the celebrities relatively young and healthy? There's certainly never been anyone morbidly obese before, and the ages have gradually crept up and up as well.

Mind you in the first series the trials weren't as taxing as they are now. TPT would never have got through the trials they have now.

Was that the year that Tony Blackburn won? And he's no spring chicken! Did he get excluded from any trials?

It is good to have a mix. You would moan if they were all young and thin and you would moan if they were all obese. They do various trials. I dont like exclusions but its better than the same trial each time. Gillian does not even have a medical reason, just height issues. Managed 24 hr flight ok though

Aye he did and we also had Rhona's famous "sometimes" . I can't remember Tony being excluded from the trials but, I'm sure someone-else will post to confirm if he did or not.

Maybe it's Britt's doctors advice. Because no everyone has the same health.
