I was just relieved to hear Gillian McKeith was excluded.

I don't think he got excluded once - and he even managed to keep his hairpiece on for the entire series.

Managed 24 hr flight ok though”

That sounds like a reasonable reason.

Made me LOL when they announced she was excluded on 'medical grounds'. Nothing to do with the fact that it's a tightrope challenge and she's about 30 stone then?

Me too.

Love how so many are so judgemental, it could be anything, asthma etc. She's due to do a similar type of challenge on this morning (suspension bridge...) on Friday, I wonder how she'll do. So probably not to do with weight at all, but of course we'll probably never know the true reason.

Because there's a serious risk of death to anyone standing underneath in the event of something snapping?

probably because of her weight being a factor.

The rope would probably snap instantly and leave her helplessly tumbling to the core of the Earth.

Not that I particuarly object to that...

More to the point, how the hell did Hammond's agent manage to wangle her a hefty paycheck and two week holiday Down Under?

Maybe being a part of the This Morning "team" carries more weight/kudos/perks (delete as applicable) at ITV than we assume.

From the comments, you would think that everyone posting their negative claptrap is thin and gorgeous, wouldn't you. Good thing DS forum doesn't come complete with webcam.

I think it's pretty obvious, that this particular task isn't designed for someone of Alison's physique. Now, if it was an eating task...
