Boxee by D-Link
Hi Guys,
I've seen in last months stuff magazine that the media streamer Boxee was released in the UK last week. I am contemplating getting one, and just wondering if anybody has bought one and what they think of it? Cheers |

I have been using boxee as my HTPC front end for about six months now and it is so much better than WMC, no messing about with codec packs and registry hacks etc it just works, The Boxee Box is just a streamer with the Boxee front end embeded you will need PC or Media Server to get the best out of it.

I've had a Boxee Box since launch. There have been 3 firmware upgrades since, which have resolved a lot of bugs.
The only issue that I have with it personally is with BBC iPlayer which are shocking as reported to their team at the following link. http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-7728 Hopefully after they sort out the issue across the pond with getting Netflix available they can focus on issues UK users are having. You can see my overview of the Boxee Box at my technologicstuff YouTube channel |
