Hi what do you think are the best webcams out there today. I want a webcam but currently stuck between these two:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-H5...0596900&sr=1-3

and

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-We...0597953&sr=8-1

If there are any better ones can you please say.

Thanks.

Matty, here is a rather nice review of the Logitech cam. http://www.nixiepixel.com/logitech-q...webcam-review/

They're both pretty good but personally I would go for the Carl Zeiss optics which the Logitech has, but that's just my preference. The only webcams I use are built ino my laptops. You are going to struggle (a lot!) to transmit 720p at 30fps with the upload speeds provided by the average broadband connection in the UK. So it's best not to look at raw specs but read all the comments by people who have purchased them on Amazon have to say. One thing to look out for is that despite what the specs say many webcams are terrible unless the lighting conditions are good. However these external models are generally far better quality then the built-in types on laptops. Both Microsoft and Logitech are well known reputable brands.

Thanks to both of you.

I decided to buy the Microsoft webcam in the link on the OP after reading comments and reviews.
