There was absolutely no need for ITV to cancel tonights episode of I'm a celeb when they could easily have shown the match on Itv2,3 or 4.
Crazy decision by the fools running ITV.

I'm not too bothered. It would only clash with The Apprentice anyway.

Clashes are irrelevant in these times of PVR's and internet catch-up services.

They could have used ITV2 or ITV4.

It's probably a sensible decision from their point of view. What they choose to show on which channel depends on how much money it will bring in from advertisers. If a match shown on ITV1 will bring in more ad revenue that I'm A Celeb would then it makes sense to show the match. Other programmes are already scheduled on ITV2, 3 and 4. If they were to replace some of those with either a match or I'm A Celeb there is no guarantee that they would make as much money overall as if they simply drop I'm A Celeb for one night.

ITV is there to make money. It is the advertisers who pay. Entertaining viewers is only a way of attracting viewers for the benefit of advertisers.

It's Apprentice night for me so I wouldn't have watched I'm a Celeb had it been on anyway.

Why couldnt they have just shown Im A Celeb at 10.00pm - 11.00pm? Im pretty sure had it been up against a really long X Factor they would have just moved it to a later time slot and its not as if it makes much difference in Australia with the time difference.

I think I read some place that the football must be shown live on ITV1. It's in the contract when they bought the rights. Rip the contract up I say.

what actually annoys me is that I hate watching football, it seems to get maximum priority; we must show all football games on BBC/ITV. I'm not a sport hater I follow just follow other sports but these other sports I have to pay sky extra money for.


football always upskittles so many shows I enjoy, it seems pointless as we have loads of sport channels and it wouldn't be a big deal to have a free to air itv and BBC sports channel that can show all major games (not just foodball).

I totally agree. ITV2 would be a good place to show it when the football is on.

ITV pay too much for Champions League coverage to shove a match like Rangers (the biggest side in Scotland) against Man United (the biggest team in England......no THE WORLD) on ITV2, 3 or 4.

Anyway it's nice to have a night off and to give Ant & Dec some spare time and a lay-in
