So do you think Ann is getting the most public vote?

As long as the votes weren't miscounted, then Ann, if she were to win, would do so fair and square.”

The votes are one thing (no one can prove the motivation behind them). The BBC favouritism & promotion is quite another matter.

So I would genuinely question whether AW would win "fair & square" in those circumstances.

I haven't noticed Ann being promoted any more heavily than someone like Matt to be honest.

People are allowed to criticise any other contestant including Matt., but not AW

Always on in the second half of the show. Guests on ITT encouraged to voice their support for AW. None of the other contestants are promoted in the same way. Blogs on the website cannot comment on AW using the show to promote her beliefs. Voters voting for AW without even watching the show. Constantly in the news.

Matt is being promoted as the new permanent host for the one show more than anything he is doing on SCD. Where all the news regarding AW is ONLY to do with SCD

But you have Craig on each week criticising AW. If every guest did the same, she'd get the sympathy vote as well as the 'I find her funny' vote. So it's probably wise that she's not being crucified by all and sundry.

I googled Ann Widdecombe Strictly Come Dancing & news for the last week and got nearly 800 hits. Doing exactly the same for Matt Baker got just over half that number and not as many as Gavin Henson.

I'm not sure google is the best barometer to measure how much a particular celebrity is being promoted.

No, but it does give the number of different articles for a particular person. So a reasonable source of how newsworthy/popular on searches someone may be.
