Getting beyond a joke now. Walked out last night as went in just wanting a quick ready meal (and then not being at home for the next 4 nights) but everything I fancied was either BOFOF or "Any 2 for £x".

You don't have to take "advantage" of the offers. You can just buy the one item that you want.

It's like once when I bought Pringles tubs for 93p at my local tesco's, and then other times they have them at £1.99 or £1.95 and they are BOGOF, when they're just putting their prices up and it works out thr same,
similar when i bought quorn mince (not that great, i know! but simple to cook with when you're a student) and it's £2,99 BOGOF when almost all other places i;ve shopped at range from £1.50 - £1.75 so it's like in a way, you should but both in the get one free offers to save money, get more for your money etc. otherwise u end up spending more on one! |

![]() Very occasionally I'll find something I regularly buy on BOGOF and I always avail if that happens. For example I buy things like tea and shampoo on BOGOF. But usually the stuff on BOGOF is just junk food. I have a strict rule for BOGOFs. If it's something I would never buy or am not pushed about, then I won't go near it. Sometimes I'll try something new if it's a half off deal rather than a BOGOF because at least you don't have a glut of whatever it is if you don't like it. |

What ever happened to the 'buy one get one free... later' thing that Tesco wanted to trial? I swear I remember reading something about this earlier this year. It was supposed to be a thing used to cut down on waste.
I hardly ever get 2for deals, my housemates and I usually buy food separately and unless I happen to be shopping with them to split the cost theres no way I can use all the stuff on those deals, it just ends up wasted or sitting in a cupboard for ages. Its also a matter of space, how am I supposed to walk home with twice as much meat, two cans of pasta sauce, etc etc? Its too heavy and cumbersome AND expensive..

What happened to Tesco's promise of allowing customers to defer BOGOF offers? Taking the one now, but being able to collect the free one at your next shop.
