Maybe I am old fashioned in this respect but trousers on a woman when she is doing ballroom looks wrong p- and even worse in latin

Not to mention Tess's homage to Abba last Saturday in that awful jump suit.

So is it time to ban the ladies from wearing trousers of any sort

This isnt the right week to ban trousers though................Tina wore trousers and was eliminated......Flavia wore trousers and was eliminated......Felicity wore trousers (yes her dress was split into wide trousers) and was eliminted. Ann is wearing trousers on Saturday so fingers crossed ........I am ignoring the fact that she has worn them before and was saved.

Well Flavia's didn't have a very positive effect on the voting public....

But you say ballroom - and automatically you think of gorgwous dresses. It is part of the tradition.

Really trousers don't look right do they. and they look awful in latin

And what the hell was Tess thinking when she agreed to wear that horrific jumpsuit last saturday

No, I don't think the women should be banned from wearing trousers, but the men should. Why should the women have the monopoly on gusset flashing?

Didn't Jennifer Grey win DWTS in trousers?

Also Erin was wearing hot pants when she was eliminated. I know its not really the same...

On a serious note, I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to costumes, so the less trousers i see the better.

I do not wish to appear rude but this is a ridiculous suggestion, women are entitled to wear what they want.

But this is ballroom and you think great dresses. Hotpants are OK though. But full trousers should go

If I was a celeb on there- that would be the first thing I would say - I don't do trousers. And I don't

Is Miss Widdecombe allowed to breathe, or is that to be banned too?

Erin's Charleston outfit remains my fav outfit so far this season. Thought it (and she!) looked fantastic in it.

What's more appropriate - smart, stylish, fashioned trousers or prancing around in a pair of stockings?

What makes you think the OP was anti-Ann? Others have worn trousers this year as well. It's ok most occassions for women to wear trousers but it isn't normally acceptable for either ballroom or latin dancing.

Nah. Ann wears trousers so it's just another thinly disguised "Let's have a bitch about Ann" thread.

Nah. You're just so biased in her favour that you're getting paranoid.

No it is not - andf you point out the times I have had a go at Ann. I am stating my opinion that I think trousers on strictly are not in keeping with the concept of ballroom dancing

I've said this before, the only female eliminated this series not wearing trousers was Michelle.
Unfortunately from that sketch, Patsy's look like some kind of culottes (sp?).

Hey she could've made trousers work too! I haven't got a single issue with a confidant woman displaying the natural beauty of her body so long as it isn't indecent. Aliona pushes that envelope about as far as it could go, but Erin is classy IMO.
