It's amazing that producers are so blinded by their own egos they can't see how much they are failing someone. The worst thing is they never bloody learn, either.

Glad Niki has found success in the theatre. People always seem to act like theatre work is a major step down but it requires genuine talent and a strict work ethic, things that you don't need these days to get on TV.”

i have to agree. i know i made a comment about it being regular work. it wasn't my intention to put her down at all. she has been in the west end a long time. some people dip their toes into the west end and find it exhausting. it is hard work and also very rewarding.

it was nowhere near as bad as pushing Beverley's sob stories. Firstly by getting her to moan about how shes only a teacher (as though thats a bad thing) and then going to the extent of inviting her entire class to one of the live shows. Then a few weeks in I remember something about digging up her dead mother that juts came from nowhere.

I'm glad they don't really bother with them so much these days. I think the last 'full on' sob story was Daniel in series 5 and his dead wife. They've ground to a halt since Peter Kay's spoof show.

Went to see this lady few weeks back in Blood Brothers. What a talent. I was completely blown away by her, I always remembered her on X Factor singing My Heart Will Go On infront of Celine but seeing her acting efforts on top - incredible. Not sure whether the show has finished but if you get a chance to see her in it, then definitely do.
