Looking at your projected scores Soulmate the VERY LAST thing we need is ties on the leaderboard...... We dont need Ann getting more than 1 point from the judges.

Ahem, how are you, Bruno Alesha Len and Craig?
Every person to do his bit.

I don't really believe in tactical voting. If people are going to vote they should just vote for the person they liked the most.

Ofcourse that is exactly what will happen if people concentrate on anyone other than their favourites at this stage. On your head be it

Personally, I will be surprised if it isnt Patsy and Gavin in the bottom 2 this week.

Exactly what I was going to say. I like Patsy, and both she and Gavin are better than Ann (not brilliant, but at least they both try and DANCE!) But if people vote in droves for whoever is 2nd & 3rd from bottom on the leaderboard, to keep them above Ann, it is possible Matt, Scott, Kara or Pamela could lose out, and the show would be weaker for the loss of any one of those 4 at this stage.

Pity they don't reverse the voting, so that we can actually vote someone out, rather than save our 'favourites!'

Napoleon was asked by one of his generals, what on earth to do when you come up against opponents six times your size. "Divide and conquer", replied the Emperor.

Ann has been doing just that, watching her divided opponents, picking off the weakest one by one. She does not need to beat six opponents, just one at a time will do. With every success her momentum grows as more and more crazies and enemies of dance jump on the Annwagon.

If she climbs over Patsy tonight then over Gavin or Pamela next week she will be unstoppable. Prepare to watch 4 Ann dances on Final night -- then Ann lifting the glitterball.

Time to make a stand tonight -- you shall not pass.

Footygirl has been a good source of inside information in the past and I, for one, accept her assertion that Matt and Scott lead the public vote ahead of Ann, and that Kara, Patsy and Pamela are very tightly matched. If Kara, one of the best dancers (if not the best) on the show is at risk, I really don't want to waste my money voting for Patsy when, to be honest, she's not going to make the final in any case.

My own feeling is that we have to accept that the public vote for Ann will keep her in a while longer, but that sanity will prevail in the end and she won't be contesting the final. So I will happily sacrifice Patsy and Gavin to the Widdy Factor, but I cannot say the same about Kara! So I will be voting for Kara, come what may, to ensure that she is not a shock exit.

Ann in the Final will trigger worldwide interest with internet, TV and newspapers in overdrive. A phenomenal number of first-time viewers will switch on out of curiosity, and sensing their kingmaking power will vote multiple times for Ann -- just to see what happens.

Those who expect Kara and Matt to triumph in a Final pitched battle in front of a Strictly audience will see instead an outcome decided by an XFactor-like electorate.

Tactical voting could squeeze Kara out. That would be a much greater travesty than Ann surviving longer than Gavin or even Patsy. If I vote tonight it will be for Kara.

Me too!

footygirl's figures have a ring of truth about them and voting for Patsy may jeopardise Kara and Pamela.

So I have to say I fear this campaign may be well-intentioned, but misguided. Kara, Pamela and Patsy are all vulnerable from the Widdinator - but, however much Patsy has improved (and she has), I'd rather support the two others, whose personalities and dancing I prefer.

Unlikely, in X-Factor there is an enormous anti-Simon Cowell vote in evidence..there is no particular animosity towards SCD, as far as I am aware ?
In addition, Wagner does not arouse the same feelings of contempt and (in some cases) hatred as Ann. The further she progresses, the more important the "anyone but Ann" vote becomes.

Very good post.......personally I would be sorry to see Gavin go before Ann.....he does at least try and is upset when he doesnt achieve......but his loss would be as nothing to the loss of Kara so I will be voting for Kara.

If any person scores 7 points from judges, it is practically impossible for said person to finish rock bottom on judges+phones aggregate.

I'm quite worried about the idea of tactical voting. What if because we're trying to get Ann out by voting for the lowest placed ones, the top placed dancers go? If Kara, Scott, Matt or Pamela go this week because we're all trying to get Ann out I'd never be able to forgive myself (or anyone else involved ). I think the most you can do is vote for who you think is the best on any given night, that's it. Anything else and you're just asking for trouble.

Precisely. If, as others have suggested, we concentrate on voting to get a final with the best dancers in it, then Widdy will fall at the semi-final stage, having taken out other dancers, true, but not, it is to be hoped, the best ones. I do fear that Kara is at risk this week and much will depend on where she sits on the leader-board. The judges tend to score Matt and Scott highly for ballroom, and Pamela's Charleston looks a vote-winner, so Kara will really have to deliver a phenomenal jive to avoid being 4th on the board and thus in danger.

I'm nervous for her.

Precisely. So the tactical voting to attempt to get rid of Miss Widdicome shouldn't be done. £1.50 isn't worth the loss of Kara. People are mad.

Why don't you give the 10 votes to kara who alot of people have been saying is in danger, patsy has said herself that she feels it's her time to go, i really don't think she wants to stay any more, so give the votes to a much more talented dancer who is in danger of going out.

If you do fancy the idea of tactical voting, save it for the SF when it might be of use. If Ms W is still in, it should be far more obvious which of the other candidates need votes to reach the final ahead of her and if she isn't it's a bonus. It's too early now imo.

I can't help but wonder if Kara or Pam (I don't see Matt or Scott in danger) were to go out this week would the public finally turn on Ann and vote even more aggressively so as not to lose another good dancer??? Or do they really want to see an Ann final.
