I'm not really surprised.

Although I don't think Wagner is intentionally rude, I think he just lacks certain communication skills and has an intimidating presence. But due to the stress of the show, people really can't be bothered dealing with him.

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

He will eat them all for breakfast.

Maybe he just gets really annoyed by folk misspelling or mispronouncing his name.

Nobody could be as rude as Matt. He started swearing and shouting and really lost it! Sort of went off his head! In fairness wasn't Wagners fault Aiden and Paige were voted off. When i see Matt going on like that it should be me he's shouting at as i voted Wagner because i thought he entertained on Sat night. Hope Matt's Valium medication works this weekend!!

In fairness Mary has defended him

According to this interview with the Evening Herald last tuesday she thinks he is sometimes misunderstood- mind you it is the Evening Herald -so there's a good chance the entire thing is made up

"X Factor star Mary Byrne has risked the wrath of judge Cheryl Cole by criticising her on-stage confrontation with Wagner.

The Ballyfermot native has jumped to the defence of the Brazilian oddball, saying that Cheryl never should have picked on him live on air.

Mary has slammed the Girls Aloud singer, saying it was unprofessional for her to wait until he was on stage to discuss the issue and refusing to chat about it backstage.

"I think she shouldn't have brought that into the show," she said.

Wagner was the subject of a verbal attack for commenting that she was "just a girl from a council estate who got lucky" earlier that week.....

Chatty Mary also gave details of the highly publicised row between Wagner and One Direction last week.

"What I heard was he said something to one of the researchers and the boys jumped in and started calling him names and throwing things at him and it got nasty. I wasn't there though," she said.

"Wagner has a good heart and I think he's taken up the wrong way sometimes, sometimes he can be a bit rude."

Also, sometimes people who's mother tongue isn't English can appear arrogant or aloof but you have to look past it.

I've never known a pantomime have so many villains. It's quite a dark production isn't it.

I doubt that all the other contestants are refusing to speak to him - I can't see Rebecca or Mary ever doing that (or Paije, while he was still there). And if the others are, then I think that's pretty rude of them, actually.

If someone doesn't want to speak to another person it's his or her choice, why should it be rude. I don't talk to people I don't like because I am not an hypocrite.

When you read the comments from various people and also fellow contestants it could be true.
It's a fact that Wagner pulled out of the house and there were complaints that de became offensive to females (not only being a macho). Not only Matt was complaining about Wagners behaviour, also John Adeleye, who is a really nice and decent guy, had issues with him.
I think Wagner's lacking some essential manners to live with other people, so he has always problems with them.

Rude to backstage staff? And how do they treat him...are they paragons of virtue?

Rude to contestants? And they have treated him well?

Come on, this is just another smear as the show gets increasingly worried about his chances of success. The XF PR team will be briefing every show going now that Wagner's not a nice person.

Its so obvious...

Blanking somebody is rude, and being civil to people you don't like isn't hypocritical - it's just demonstrating that you have basic manners.

Seriously doubt either Rebecca or Mary would REFUSE to speak to him- not their style- would say the same for Paije (demonstrated by his refusal to criticise Wagner after being eliminated)

Mary probably wasn't there when Jeff was on set as she's sick- Rebecca is too much of a lady to be intentionally rude to any of her fellow competitors

( OK-I don't know Rebecca but nobody appears to have a bad word to say about her- even the acts eliminated say how nice she is so have no reason to believe otherwise)

So regardless what someone does to you, you will still speak to them?

They're trying to ostracise the man because they dont think he should be there. Who are the other acts to judge him?

Sounds to me like everyone is getting worried about him doing well.

I say keep the faith and keep voting for Wagner to give this show the kick up the arse it so desperately needs.

Yes I remember hearing about that. 'deodorantgate'

To be honest, who knows what's going on behind closed doors. The only thing I know for a fact is that Matt doesn't like Wagner.

There have been a lot of reports about Wagner's behaviour towards others, too many to be untrue IMO.

Wagner misunderstood or an arse? Who knows but I'd bet my last pound it's not all one sided with Matt being the devil and Wagner being the poor little victim!

clutching at straws again.. and this coming from Jeff Brazier, a man who lived off the fame of his equally annoying girlfriend.. and if he is rude to the rest of them then fair play to him, they've let themselves be part of the machine.

I think you would still try to remain polite- especially if you have to work with them

If someone was very rude-you mightn't be going out of your way to spend time with them but if you have to work with them you would at least try to be civil- or maybe that's just me

I didn't say that. However, if I didn't like somebody because of personal preference, I would still be civil to them.

There has been absolutely no evidence that Wagner has done anything that would justify the other contestants ignoring him, aside from the unforgivable sin of getting enough votes to stay in over certain other contestants.

I'm sure we will be hearing more stories on this when Wagner leaves or when the series ends.
